I pray you get better soon! Do not push yourself. Yeah time and a half would be great but if you are in pain you might not even last the day. You need to rest and heal. There are always other holidays I'm sure you can get the time and a half. Please take care of yourself and hopefully you will be back to feeling better quickly!

Hahahahahahaha that was genius of your mom to do that!

Exactly! you have to take care of yourself. Try the liquids, they might help. Make sure you take all of your Vitamins too!

We had he same surgery date! Definitely try the unsweetened protein or unjury protein. Those are much better than the Special K because they have more protein. 20 grams per serving. Have u tried eggs? Tuna? There is a broth from unjury that has a chicken flavor and it has protein as well.

Hurting when eating...
Fairyluver75 replied to sarjblack's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The same thing is happening to me. I'm 5 weeks post-op. I believe it's because I'm not chewing enough and it gets stuck at the opening. So I end up having to 'throw it up'. And I feel better after. Even when I 'throw up' a bubble comes up so I think I'm swallowing too much air as well. I hope it ends soon because I'm tired of feeling this way as well. I'm hoping its normal! -

Struggling
Fairyluver75 replied to dontstopbelieveing's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi! I'm only 6 weeks out, but all I can say is believe in yourself. You have come this far and you don't want to go back to where you were. You have to keep trying. Forgive yourself for today but you have to start again taking care of yourself. Chew slowly, remember what it was like in the beginning, make sure you are drinking your water and eating your protein. Take a walk when you want to eat extra. Or drink a glass of water and if you still feel hungry, eat a little bit more but make wise decisions. You can do this! Learn to forgive yourself, we will all slip up but the key is getting back to it. Always choose proteins first, then veggies then the carbs. Portion control always, and slow down. You got this! -
This is a huge fear of mine! I'm 5 weeks out and I'm scared that mine will start to fall out. I don't have a lot of hair to begin with and I fear I will be bald. I had asked my dr about this and he said for me not to worry but I know a lot of people who are losing hair...

I didn't even know they had put one in at all. Didn't feel a thing and no sore throat for me. Just dry mouth. Lots of ice chips because you can't have Water until the next day.

I totally agree! I've always been obsessed with food and still am at times. I'm actually surprised I have been able to stick with my new way of eating but I think it is fear driven (I don't want to get sick!) today though I've been hungry all day and I can't stop thinking about food. I even nibbled and kept thinking I have to be full I just ate a few bites of something. I'm not even sure I ate enough but I think I have and I'm afraid. We will get there eventually, it's a learning process as we go.

Maybe he wants to make sure your body won't go into shock if he fixes it earlier. All dr's are different in their reasoning. Deep breaths, it might not seem worth it now but it will be in the end. Keep me posted on how everything goes! Hugs to you!

What is a Stricture and what causes it??

I've seen those but I'm not far enough post-op yet to get it done, but was looking at them as a possibility of doing it when I can. I know there are a lot of celebrities who use them. How often do you have to do them and is it costly?

Sorry just saw that it was your Nut who said that. That just seems like a lot to me, but I could be wrong. You don't want to force yourself, I was told its best to build up
