    What ya eating tonight?

    Having one of those days where I don't feel like eating. Granted I have only been awake for 3 hours, I have spent the better part of an hour trying to make myself choke down a Greek yogurt. I made homemade veggie chili yesterday so hopefully I will feel like eating some later at work.

    June Post Ops!

    I feel behind in weight loss as well. But I kinda assumed I would be a slow loser because I ate really healthy and worked out a lot before surgery. I actually lost 100lbs 3 years ago gained back 25 and wasn't able to loose anymore. No matter what I did. I tried trainers and didn't eat fried food or red meat. So I had the surgery. I have lost 35lbs since surgery June 19. I go for my 3 month post op sept 17 and I'm working my but off to get to the 50lb goal. Here's a picture of me around my highest weight and then a couple weeks ago. Over all I am really pleased with the progress. We all wish we could snap our fingers and wake up with the perfect body! Lol but hey that why we are here!

    I cut them in half, take most of the seeds out, put the cream cheese mixture in, wrap or crumble bacon and then bake them at 400 for about 20 mins

    Making some roasted jalapeños stuffed with fat free cream cheese, chive and onion, topped with a little crunchy bacon. The bacon is lean but it's my little cheat I was out of turkey bacon so hopefully it will be fine! Won't even be eating half a slice anyway! I love spicy food and it sits well with me I'm also cooking some tilapia blackened ahead of time for the week.

    What ya eating tonight?

    I make mine with stewed tomatoes, black beans, kidney bean and sometimes even ranch style beans, ground turkey, chili powder and onions. I like jalapeños in mine, my parent like a can of rotel. It always turns out good! I use one can of each except the tomatoes I usually use two small or one large but I like a lot of tomatoes.

    June Post Ops!

    I unfortunately had to go out of town for a funeral 2 weeks ago. I used to work in business management and wore a dress or suit and heels everyday. Not a single one fit and I had to buy a new dress for the service. My sister has gained quite a bit of weight and have me all her smaller stuff that was too small for me before and it's also too big:)

    Friday Weigh-In!

    Sw(258) 6/19/13 Hw 340 Today 224 My goal was 40lbs by my birthday. I made it to 34 lbs by my birthday so I'm happy with that. I would like to hit 200 or below by the time I go for my 3 month post op.

    What ya eating tonight?

    Last night I was able to eat 4 oz of filet mignon. Is that normal? It was soft and i chewed really well. I'm 2 months out. It went down fine. I did feel full but not in pain. It's weird because I know we can eat a 4-5oz yogurt cup or soup because its soft. Other times I eat half a slice a cheese and two slices of lunch meat and I feel stuffed. I just got my scale today on the mail.

    Found a pretty good protein bar, it's nature valley brand peanut almond and dark chocolate. 10g of protein , 14 carbs, 6 g sugar it's does have 12g of fat and 110 calories

    Had leftover zucchini pizza for "breakfast" taking some turkey lunch meat rolled up with chive and onion cream cheese and lettuce for lunch. And cucumber minus the seeds seeds for a snack.

    Here is my pizza stuffed zucchini I made last night. Of course I could only eat about 1/4 of it but great leftovers! I sliced a zucchini from our garden, scooped the seeds out to make a boat shape. Then put a couple tablespoons of fresh puréed tomatoes also from the garden, sprinkled a little feta and LF mozzarella with some Italian seasoning, topped with quartered Turkey pepperoni. Bake at 375 for 30 mins! Soft and delicious. Great pizza alternative.

    July 2013 - Post Op Thread

    Good news to those of you feeling exhausted! I had my surgery in June on the 19th and felt the same way! But between week 4-5 It's like I woke up and had all my energy back! I was starting to get worried that I would feel that way forever. It was crazy! I would take a shower and try to blow dry my hair and think okay..now I need a nap! Lol. It gets better I promise!

    June Post Ops!

    5 week progress! I have lost 25-26lbs, so five lbs a week average. I will take it! Also 4 inches from my bra line and waist(around my belly button) 6 inches from hips and 2 inches from my arms. I have to admit that when I stalled for almost 2 weeks or only lost 1 lb I was disappointed but looking back and realizing I'm on on week 5 and have accomplished so much already is a great feeling. My work scrubs are all fitting much looser and coworkers have noticed! My sister out these pics together for me.

    Everyone was talking about how much they love almonds and I do as well! But you guys should try dry roasted edamame! It's really good, crunchy, way less fat and more protein. I have has the wasabi and light salted. For 1/4 cup it has 130 calories, 4g fat, 10 carbs, 8g fiber,1g sugar and 14g protein. I found them at my Kroger by the veggie chips and trail mixes

    I ventured out a little because I'm so tired of greek yogurt and protein shakes. I tried the taco salad from Taco Bell. It's the only place open besides McDonald's at 3 am when I'm at work. I would recommend. I got the steak asked for no rice. So it was lettuce, tomato, steak, salsa and black beans in a taco shell. I only took one bite of the shell. I split it into three meals and online it said it was 26g of protein total. I was pleased and got my salad fix. I have also has a bowl of there pintos and cheese. 130 calories, 5g of fat and 11g of protein and its the perfect size.

    Today while commuting to work I glanced down and actually saw my lap. Lol . It wasn't just boobs, roll, roll...it's the small things. I was surprised and it has made me feel great today. To actually see change and feel positive.

    I had two slices of thin roast beef lunch meat and a low fat cheese stick. I've given up on eggs for now! Tried again yesterday a boiled egg and threw up. Sad because I love eggs. Later tonight at work I will have a Greek yogurt.
  23. I had the same concerns, I am five weeks out and just in the last couple of days I have started to feel full. They say it can take 4-6 weeks for the nerves in your pouch to start repairing/regrowing. So I wouldn't be too concerned, just measure or weigh food so you don't stretch your pouch.

    Had some sliced up zucchini fresh from the garden with a little light mozzarella and some spicy seasoning.
