Hair will fall out during months 3-6 because our bodies essentially are I'm starvation mode and are trying to protect the important parts of our body. Heart, brain, etc. Don't worry it will grow back. Take Biotin 1000 mg a day. Careful too much will help that mustache to appear too. Also organics makes a shampoo and conditioner with biotin and collagen.

Hi all. I had my surgery 8.14.13. My starting weight was 322 surgery wght was 303.6 cw is 262.1. Those numbers just now my mind . So far so good. I've become lactose intolerant since surgery. So it's making some forms of protein quite hard but I'm doing it. The only problem so far is female related. I've have my period for 7 out of the 9 weeks. Like really bad though. Scary bad. Anyone else have this issue? Sorry for the TMI Also my next big problem is vitamins. I can't stomach the taste of any of the chewables. What are people using?

First of all everyone is going to have an opinion. Everyone is going to have a horror story to tell you. I have learned to listen and smile. Say thank you for your thoughts and kill them with facts and how happy and proud I was to come to my decision. I researched for years and finally made the jump. People that do this surgery do not wake up one morning and just decide get iv think I will give this a try. No we don't. We learn and ask ourselves hard questions. Like am I really ready to give up a lot of my freedom. Am I mentally ready. People that have negative comments are usually jealous that you will be thin . They think your taking the easy road. .... hahahaha if they only knew. Some will genuinely be worried. Those that are will educate themselves and support you. You have made your decision. Stick with it. Remove the negative and concentrate on your positive. As for who to tell. .. I only told a few close people that I trusted. Some positive feedback, some negative. The negative eventually saw me working hard and educated themselves on what I would be doing. They are now my biggest supporters. You will need a support system especially after the surgery. With no support yes you will most likely fail. You will need support at home and at work.

Don't feel like that. In 5 weeks your down a huge number. In 5 more weeks you could be down another 35! That would mean 70 lbs! 70lbs that are gone for good! . Don't go by other people. That's not fair to do to yourself. When we made this decision we knew it was far from a quick fix. It will come errrrr go... I promise -

That's awesome! Way to go! -
Don't get discouraged! I lost 9 lbs after surgery In 4 days, then nothing. I was so upset but since last Friday I've lost 6 lbs. My surgery was 8.14. I was talking to some people that said it would come in spurts. One person lost 25 lbs in one month and had been losing it slowly since. It will be long process. We can do it!

I know you can still get stones without the gall bladder. I had mine it ten years ago. Could be gas from constipation. Have you tried gasx gas strips?

Has anyone else experienced the feeling like their belly is too heavy after the surgery? I feel like mine is pulling on the stitches when i get up to walk. I feel like I need extra support, just not sure what to wear.

Just got home a little while ago. Feeling pretty beaten up, but it went well. Only real pain was from the gas. In recovery I was crying bc the gas pain was so intense. I just wanted to walk. Overall a Good experience, but definitely don't want to go through it again.

My kids are 22 months and almost 4.5. I'm also doing it for them as well as myself. I'm just tired of being the mom on the sideline at the park or at the amusement park etc. I want to be doing things with them. Like running, riding bikes, long walks. That is what is getting me through the nerves. I just remind myself by this time next year how different our life will be. This Sunday is the one month Mark till surgery.

Try adding some sugar free fat free pudding mix dry. Like a tablespoon. I add it when I'm sick of the regular tastes. Also it helps to thicken it. I like the white chocolate and butterscotch.

I'm the 14 as well! ! Good luck!
