Hi Vicki, I am a little better. Still in pain tho. Its just gonna take a while to heal. I'm headed home from hosp. Today. I'm so ready to go home. There's no rest here

So I have to say I had an amazing day!! I'm 7wks out today and finally feel like I can eat and drink with no pain/discomfort. I went to a conference today- I was initially worried about the lunch but had salad (for the first time) and a baked chicken breast, then had a taco salad for dinner- it was great not stressing myself out whether or not my pouch would agree with me today!!! Those little milestones really make a difference!!!!

HI! Its my first post! I had RNY laparscopic surgery on Aug 29. So far its been an interesting experience. I still feel crummy from the surgery and have developed a nagging annoying escalating pain under my right rib, At the post op, they gave me tramadol for the pain so i use it to rest at night. My energy levels are coming back and I spent the morning shopping with the hubster. i have had no nausea at and am still trying to listen to the new pouch and reworked digestive system for clues. Today I got very hungry and i got excited to recognize it. LOL So far no dumping syndrome at all. I have PCOS and Type II Diabetes and have already noticed my feet and ankles are losing those brown spots that are so common for us diabetics. I have dark pigmented skin from the PCOS on the back of my neck and that is also lightening. Its amazing that these changes are happening only 10 days out from surgery!
I very much appreciate hearing from and reading the experiences shared! It is gratifying to know how much in common we all have!

Oh my goodness my mind just won't let go of thinking I'm hungry. I just laid down for an afternoon nap and dreampt about eating lasagna. I am Garfield.

For those of you who say you are losing too slow, just think at where you would be if you HADN'T started this journey. We aren't losing weight. We are GETTING RID OF IT! I hope all of us can be proud of how far we have gotten and can be excited about every little ounce we get rid of for good!

My mother does it to me already and I barely had surgery on the 6th of August. But I think that she, maybe all of them, think that they r helping us. And my oldest daughter, who is 22, hasn't done it to me, but when she talks to my mom, and my mom tells her what I have taken a bite of, my daughter comments that I shouldn't b eating that stuff, it's not healthy. But they are both over weight. I don't take it personal. I really think they think they r trying to help.

I woke up after 5 hours of awesome sleep to some pretty intense pain. The narcotic pain relief was causing me to have apnea as I tried to sleep off so I had to stop taking it for a while. So whoa...when I woke up that was intense. But getting situated and ready to start moving soon. Today is gonna be a good day!

I bought a dress a while back to wear to my cousins wedding. I had to take it to a seamstress to get it altered a little. I put it on so they could pin it and they had to take in 3 inches....

This week my stepdaughter told me she had a surprise for me. So she runs upstairs and grabs a pair of her size 10 jeans, runs back down and was like try them on! I said I don't think these will fit they are just too tiny. She kept saying try them on, you don't see that you really are that small so I hop in the bathroom thinking there is no way they will even fit around my thigh.....and then they did and they zipped and buttoned with no problems! She even gave them to me

Wow had a crazy bumpy move to another floor. Almost got my IV pulled out of my arm. The pain got away from me in the process too. Getting back on track now though. Did a couple laps, had some delicious Water, and am happily using my special button. Oh and I've gained 15lbs in 2 days lol. When I got here I was 376 (lost 16 in 12 days!), and I just weighed in at 391. It's cool though. I'm going to look great once the swell goes. Hope everyone else is doing great!

I just found this app and registered. My surgery was August 19. I've finally lost all my IV Fluid post op weight gain. Getting tired of drinking my meals. No major issues so far just very tired and finding it hard to get in 3 Protein Shakes a day.

Surgery went well! In some pain, pressing my button just trying to sleep it off!

Surgery went great I've already been up walking and ventured outside I should get to go home in the morning and I'm very excited I have little to no pain at all

Ya!! Yucky! I've managed to not have any dumping yet!' I did however get to full 4 times!! Awful!

Crusted salmon. Unanimously declared delicious by husband and two dogs. The dogs can't talk but they gobbled up the piece I couldn't finish and wanted more - I took that to mean it was good. I could be wrong, my Copper also eats birdseed and bugs. Lol

I'm eating my subway fit kids meal! Complete with sticker earrings!!! Haha

I finally got my approval. It was supposed to have been submitted to my insurance on the 10th but she didn't submit it till the 17th and I called today and was told it was approved. Now all I have to do is wait for Jennifer the surgery scheduler to set the surgery. Finally I feel I can breath now!!

I'm so fortunate to have my supportive hubby...as a matter of fact, he sent me a text the other day telling me how proud he was of me for being so strong and going thru all this...it got nee teary...I love that man!!

I haven't had the surgery yet, but in my supervised diet I lost 12 pounds so far I fit in one of my pants again!!!! Tight but I wore them all day just because I can now!!!! Yay me!

I had my surgery yesterday. Now I'm on the losers bench! The first day was the worse pain, today it's a little easier. I'm very well drugged today though. :-)
