I feel the same way about Italian food. I used to love it, since my surgery, August 6th I may have made any kind of Italian food twice. Once for my daughters birthday, she loves spaghetti, and I made a chicken lasagna for my brothers party. And on another note I have never really liked sea food but now I want it all the time. -

I didn't track my calories yesterday but I got a spoon of yams a couple spoons of potatoes and gravy a piece of turkey a piece of ham some green beans and some pasta salad. And later a bite of pecan pie. A bite of chocolate pie. A few bites of banana cream cake and a bite of ambrosia salad so I probably went over my calories too. But I didn't over stuff myself which was good. And I had a nice time.

I did the same thing. I served everyone drinks and carved the turkey. After that I sat down and ate maybe 2 bites of turkey, ham, potatoes, yams, my daughter made fresh yams, they were so good. We usually have candied yams dripping with butter and brown sugar. She made them this year too but I didn't touch them. Had a few green beans and a spoon of corn. I plan to have a bite of the pies later too. I made 4 and a banana cream cake I want to try. Surprisingly I did not over stuff myself. -

I must say beans, any kind really, I have been in love with since my surgery. They taste good and sit well, those and avocados. Wasn't a big fan of avocados before. But now. I love them. I always add it to my salads as well as beets. My surgeon recommended the beets for protein. -

My husband loves the black beans from el pollo loco they r BBQ black beans, everytime he goes there he gets that and the veggies. Just gotta try them again. Sometimes the first experience with something is not the best. -
I went through the depression phase a few weeks ago. It does pass. If u need to talk u can private message me if u want to. I am at a stall right now but u know I do believe the protein does help u Lose it faster because I can't stand the protein powders and I don't use them but when I was drinking them regularly I was losing more.

I'm down 66 lbs. I find myself looking for the protein on everything now. I have finally had an experience that I know was dumping. I started drinking my coffees again and I made the mistake of using regular flavored creamer. Well I have given those to my daughter. And am happy to say I now only use fat and sugar free creamers. I got sick to my stomach and had to lock up my office and run to the bathroom. I was in there for about 30 minutes, I felt like I was gonna pass out. Had diarrhea, sweats, shakes. It was all bad. Another thing that I'm not too happy with is the hair loss, omg. I feel like a shedding dog, I got my hair chopped short and layered to try to make it look thicker but it seriously is falling out by the handfuls. I knew it was coming, if I didn't I would probably b freaking out because I am seriously loosing so much. I hope everyone else is not having this issue. My friend who had her surgery about two years ago went through the same thing and let me know her hair is nice and thick again. Anyways. Everyone sounds like they are getting better. Glad to see it and good luck to everyone.

Going to my brothers house. I will try a little of everything but I know I'm probably gonna eat mostly the turkey and some salad. I seem to do best with salads. But I'm gonna b baking four pies and a cake. Everyone there knows I had the surgery and I'm ok with that. My nephew who is 16 gets a kick out of watching me eat a bite and wait a few minutes before another bite. My five year old will probably eat with me, she does that at home all the time. She is my little garbage disposal. Luckily for us both I mostly eat salads so she is eating healthy also. -
