Stopping the shot didn't stop the bleeding so now I'm waiting on a plasma infusion to thinken up my blood and hopefully stop it!! Sigh ... But other then that day 5 and I feel great and my pouch is handling all liquids that I can have .. So far so good with that!!

I had my surgery on Monday and due to a blockage I was passing bloody stool and they have now stopped the Heprin shots cause they believe I'm bleeding inside!! If stopping the shot doesn't work I will have to have a blood transfusion!! Then who knows what after!! However my pain is not bad , actually feelings great and my wife is doing excellent and is now not a patient but is staying here with me at the hospital!!! Will keep ya posted.. Just wanna go home so I can begin my journey with my wife !!

I ended up back in the hospital due to a blockage that wouldn't let the gas pass and it put me in alot of pain to where I couldn't do anything.. Finally they decided to try a suppository and after 40 minutes it actually worked and ohhh was I relived but then I was now having bloody stool so now I'm being monitored all night to make sure I'm not bleeding inside!! I just wanna go home and join my wife.. Nothing like taking this journey together and now were separated and she's doing it on her own!! Will keep you posted and hopefully I will go home tomorrow

We are both doing good.. Have terrible gas pains though... They give us a chewable every 4 hours for gas cause we were told were not able to use our gasx here ( sigh ) so..as of right now so far so good.. Just wish I could get just a little bit of sleep .. Hard when you fight through gas pain and once you fall asleep .. Someone wakes you up for something.. LoL One other thing right off the bat my left side hurts the worse... However I have been alternating laying on my sides holding a pillow.. It helps a lot All I know is I'm so glad to be on the losers bench and looking forward to wonderland Starting weight 244 Weight when I got here 234 Goal weight 130

My wife is in surgery and I'm getting set to go soon... They gave us a few meds to relax us while we waited.. One included medical marajuna Pills and the other Xanax ... Our pain killer is Percocet for a short time and will be switched to tylenol So that's it for now.. Just waiting.. Will post again when I'm alert!

My wife and I arrived at the hospital and checked in together ... We however will not be in the same room due to the fact we have similar names and have a name alert.. They don't want any mistakes .. We both got our Iv's and regular check up stuff .. Now I guess we chill for a few hours.. Will keep you posted..

My wife and I are all set for our surgery tomorrow!! Leave for the hospital at 5:30am... She goes in at 10:30 then I go in at 12:30.. Killing time is the hardest... Waiting these last hours and not sure we will even sleep tonight!! Will keep ya posted.

Everyone talks about what to bring to the hospital .... How to prepare before and after surgery but I would like to know from those who have already have had surgery.. What were the steps you went through once you arrived at the hospital ? My wife and I have surgery next week and we are prepared for it but are wondering what happens at that point when we get there ? Like.. Did anyone have anymore test done? Bloodwork? EKG ? How long was the wait before you actually went into surgery? Any help would help our nerves.. lol

Me and my wife are scheduled for surgery August 19th .. Dr.graber is our surgeon and we see him in the Syracuse office

Have a few questions that I have been meaning to ask as we wait for our surgery day to get here 38 days and counting.. So we would like to know.. What are some thing we should bring to the hospital with us? What are some things we should need once were home for the first few weeks after surgery? Does or did anyone have trouble getting out of bed? Pain levels?? Is the pain severe? Sex? (lol) how long is everyone waiting after surgery? Did anyone have surgical glue on their incisions and or did anyone have problems with the incision popping open? We have to give ourself a Heparin shot for 10 days after surgery, anyone else have to do that? Exercise? What is everyone doing the first few weeks after surgery? I feel like not knowing the answers to these questions is increasing my fears. I could ask the dr office but I'd rather hear from experience Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks in advance

Does anyone know how to get samples of protein powders? Don't want to spend a small fortune on a flavor I may not like..
