Mum's the word!
Weight Warrior replied to wintobethin's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am open about the whole subject of the upcomming surgery. my family friends and co-workers have been more than supportive. i have actually gained quite the fan club. ( not that it was my intention to have one :-) by being open and discussing my journey i have found out that 5 people who i know have had some form of weight loss surgery. And have been greatly sucessful. i have been given gifts ( books to read in the hospital) people are giving me clothes of the smaller sizes i will be passing through. i have not had one negative experience. my feeling is the more support you habe the better the results will be. cheers RJ -
I received approval in 7 days and they set the date on the same phone call. it took all of 10 minutes.

Things i will not miss
Weight Warrior replied to kinggrichard's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I will not miss, 1. The pizza delivery guys judgemental looks. 2. Being called "Big Guy" 3. Being afraid i will kill lawn furniture. 4. Purchasing two seats on a plane 5. Requiring 2 seats on the trolley. ( well actually 1-1/4) 6. Large grocery bills 7. Taking what i can get at the big & tall stores. 8. Shopping at big & tall stores 9. McDonalds & similar stores 10. Sweating in the middle of winter 11. Not being able to walk more than fifty yards at a time. 12. Feeling ashamed when i eat out. there are many more but that is behind me! my future course is charted and the next phase of my life begins with my surgery on June 12, 2013. Thanks for posting this thread. its amazing how many items i could empathise with. but alas i bid farwell to the " big guy" and say hello to life! cheers! RJ -
