I heard if you are using the wrong protein supplements it can slow your weightloss, I use unjury protein shakes once a day for breakfast. My husband also had the surgery in March, he snacks a lot which is a no no but he still seems to lose. Quite honestly I do not exercise, I haven't seemed to fit that in yet! ???? I have leveled off and if I start gaining I think that will be my motivation.... Also along with the shakes we take 1 bariatric vitamin a day and 3 bariatric calcium supplements a day. I order all this from unjury.com thier chocolate splendor shakes are really good! It might be worth trying something different! I always keep sugar free Popsicles in the freezer, if I feel like snacking or filling my face I eat one, usually two, they are 10 calories a pop and are better than the alternative! Hope this helps! First and foremost DO NOT GIVE UP! Good luck!

    My Obese Brother

Unfortunately it is jealousy! I have three obese sisters and I only speak to one of them now! The other two can't handle the fact that I have done well with the surgery! If people are so unhappy with their own lives they need to do something about it!! Instead of picking fights with the people they should be happy for! As for the other sister, I show her the difference in my life it makes and hope she too will get on the bus to a happier life! It is extremely hard to see someone you love go through life being obese when you know so well that there is hope! I love my sister but I hate seeing her in my fat clothes and just being so uncomfortable! good luck with your brother!

Everyone looks great! I find it unbelievable that a year ago I was carrying around another me! I recently have gotten new coworkers who say is that all you are gonna eat? So I tell them I had surgery, they say you don't look like it. It makes me feel good because I wonder if people knew I was fat! Now when I see overweight people I just want to take them aside and say you can do something about it! The surgery was soo worth it for me even with developing the ulcer from surgery, I feel great! Plus my knees are thanking me!!

Just had my 6 month checkup. My labs were great, doc is pleased with weight loss! I agree with the stories about clothes shopping, I always go to the big section first then I realize its not gonna work! I could spend hours shopping because my brain doesn't comprehend my weight loss! So annoying! The clothes I have now are huge again and I dread spending money on new clothes, I guess I should try a thrift shop but would be embarrassed to go! I don't know what to do, maybe I should just get over it! Guess I'm just extremely shy!!! Hw 273 sw 250 cw 154
  8. I slept in my recliner, just much easier to get up from and it was uncomfortable to lay flat.
