I have a serious but kind of gross question!
clcpj replied to cookielover's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yep...I had the same problem. It was HORRIBLE! I was in such pain I called my husband home from work...I though I was going to have to go to the emergency room. We called the DR's Office and they told me to take Milk of Magnesia. That took about 30-40 minutes to work and then it was much better. It was from the pain meds.:angry -
I just made it to ONEDERLAND. Currently 195, Which I have not seen in many years! It feels ONEDERFULL!!!:clap2: yeah me!

I can tolerate bread. But...macaroni and cheese just about killed me! Felt like someone dropped a rock in my stomach. Never again. :hungry:

I'm curioius....how come I don't see many of you adding veggies or fruits to your diet?
-
Ok I give...what is a protein test tube??? And where do you get them???
-
Interesting...I like seeing what others are eating. Here's what I had yesterday: Breakfast: Slim Fast Low Carb Choc. shake with a Bananna Lunch: Half slice oat bread-toasted with 2oz Muenster cheese Dinner: 4 oz chicken and 1/2 c. broccolini Dessert: Two tablespoons of no sugar ice cream. This morning: Slim Fast Low Carb Choc. Shake with a Bananna and 1 teaspoon of crunchy Peanut Butter...in the Magic Bullet. Funny when I was in liquid only stage...I was getting so tired of the Slim Fast shakes. Now...I am craving them! Sometimes I have shakes for two of my meals.

Ahhhhh....a size 10! How wonderful for you!!! That seems like a dream come true....if I could be in a size 10 by next May for my niece's wedding, I would be one happy girl! -
Hello, I'm a June 27, 2007 Bandster. I have had one fill since my banding. I felt absolutely no difference, and the dr's office said that can happen sometime with a first fill because of air in the line??? So, my second fill is for Sept. 17th. Hopefully, it will make me feel full with less food because right now, it seems to me I can eat too much! I have not lost a single pound in a month now. So it's a bit frustrating. I can eat bread. The only thing that has bothered me so far is Pasta. That was not a good feeling...like someone dropped a cannon ball in my stomach and it just sat there. AAAGGHH! :faint: So no more pasta for a long time. I'm happy with 26 pounds lost (goodbye and good ridance) but am anxious to be rid of the next 26!!!!

Water Aerobics! It's great! No stress on your joints. I took classes for years. I have a pool, so while weather permits, I alternate treadmill one day, next day water aerobics. In the winter, I go to a local gym pool.

What's your new favorite protein snack?
clcpj replied to Crabby54's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
With the vanilla low carb slim fast, you have a lot more fruit choices to add in. I've tried peaches, bananna and blueberry so far. But, I like the chocolate flavor better. I cannot think of too many other things to add to the chocolate....Hmmmm....maybe a tbl. of peanut butter in the chocolate. That might be good. -
I chose to tell very few people before my surgery and even then, it wasn't till the week of my surgery. I only told people who I knew would be positive and supportive. The people who I thought would be negative didn't find out till after. I had my surgery 6/27. I am already tired of is people asking me what I had to eat any time they call! I don't get that. My new standard answer is going to be :FOOD!::confused:

I like the Low Carb chocolate Slim Fast with 1 cup of Silk milk and a banana. Throw it in the Magic Bullet with a few ice cubes! Also...the VitaminShoppe has a great Protien Drink. Cookies and Cream and the brand is ??? Oh darn, I forget. But they have it in the refrigerator and if I'm on the run I know I can pop in there and grab one of those. -
Thank you! And to you too! You are LUCKY you are doing this at 25. That is my only regret....I wish I would have had this even ten years earlier.
