Ok this week I decided to up my water intake. I will see what difference this will make. My protein intake is steady between 60- 80 sometime higher. My calories usually range from 600 - 1000, Carb are below 60 normally, low fats, sugar and sodium all low. Excerising three to four times a week doing spinning class, walking the treadmill and toning class every now and then. Water seems to be my weak area. Just trying to keep myself motivated. I know I will get there. ALL THE JUNIES seems to be doing wonderful you all keep up the good work.

I am five weeks out today. Surgery was June 24th. I got clearance today to move on to soft foods. I had cheated and eaten some regular food. But I just recently got real sick from eating grits. The feeling is not good. Since that day any foods I eat pureed or liquid seems to just sit around the base of my throat and just turn for about hour. very uncomfortable. Is any one out there getting this type of reaction? What do you do? lately I am hardly eating anything for fear getting sick and throwing up.

Having a lousy day. Got up early this morning to take my dad to his sister's funeral. I started my day early with a shake. In route to the funeral a two hour ride, my dad wanted to stop for breakfast at a biscuit restaurant. I am 4 1/2 weeks out, surgery June 24th. I thought grits would go down nicely since I am in the pureed part of my diet. three swallows, I told my husband something is not right. 1/2 hour later I was puking everywhere. Sat in the car the whole funeral feeling like puke!!! It is now 7:25 p.m. an I am just starting to feel normal. Sorry no more grits! I am trying my protein shake to see how that hold out. Will not be eating anything else today! I am always feeling full and uncomfortable.

I agree. People need to think before they speak. It is irritating when people make comments without thinking!!!!

three days post op. Surgery was Monday. Feeling stuff, just from shakes and water. getting in all my meds and shakes, and about 16 oz. of water a day. I need to walk. I was able to walk while in the hospital but since I been home its just around the house. Will pull out my WII tomorrow and walk with that. Hopefully it will help with me feeling stuff.

This is my second day out from the hospital, 4 day post-op. how is everyone doing with their meds, shakes, vitamins. I am not sure if I am mixing right. My husband mix me a shake yesterday ugh! it was watery.

Thank God I am home. The pillow work out find. Until my husband pulled into Rite Aide to fill my prescriptions. He misjudge the entryway and I had relax the pillow for a bit. I will never let go of my pillow again. "Hurts!!" Now I have to keep track of making shakes, taking meds, when to take walk and make time for walking. With all that said I know that I with the Lord I made the right decision, and would do it again. Slide over make room for me. Praying for all those going into surgery and coming out. Thanks your prays as well. Let's get through this adventure together.
