Hi, I'm June 10th as well, you will be my Journey Buddy....now I don't feel all alone, I was the only June 10th person, LOL...welcome to the group, like yourself, I've also done research after research and trying to mentally prepare myself. Well, today is the first day of my all liquid diet and I feel for those who had to do it for two and three weeks, I hope I get the hang of it, becasue I do understand that we will be on liquid diet for a minute after surgery.

I was wondering if baby food was a good substitute, then I thought about it, we would be like babies again, learning how to eat all over again after this surgery.

Backed out of surgery... twice :(
YoColeFleet replied to indianarny765's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yeah, I agree with everyone, a friend of mine who had the surgery told me something that stuck to me, she said "don't explain your reasoning to having weight loss surgery", she told me that it was my decision regardless of what anyone else thought. When I told my husband, daughter, and mom, they all were totally against it, they were concerned, but after I kept educating them, they are on board; they would rather see me healthy than sick all the time, taking different medications; sure they are still conerned but hey, it's what I want to do, I can't tell you that I'm 100% ready, I just know I got to do this to be healthy, I will be 43, I want to feel and look the part. -
Good Morning, well I have a half day at work today, I got to go to the hospital to have X-ray, dv Doppler, and more little test before surgery.

Yes, I've read somewhere that if you suffer from certain types of arthritis, due to obesity, most likely it will go away, gout is a form of arthritis, along with high levels of uric acid.

I meant "Am I there yet" lol Hello, I'm new to this however, I have a few comments and questions. First let me tell you I really like this site, other than me YouTubing, researching, reading...I lm ready mentally. I just decided to have weight lost surgery as of April, my coordinator has submitted my paper work to the insurance company already and said I will be ready for surgery one day in June 2013, that's quick, after reading that it took most people a little over a year. My coordinator seem so confident that I will receive a yes, my insurance also covers 100%, that's a Blessing. So, I've gotten clearance from the psychologist, Pulmonologist, Cardiologist, my PCP. I am scheduled for stress test and endoscopy, I guess the last step would be to meet with the surgeon again and the nutritionist. I know Um making the right decision because of my health. My husband is supportive as well as my adult daughter. Sorry let me introduce myself, I am 42 year old female, married with one adult child, my last weight in was 229, I'm 5'3, I'm looking to weight between 135 to 145, I'm mainly doing this because I recently had a few health problems due to my weight, I been taking blood pressure pills since I was 26, I recently been diagnosed with gout (oh so painful), I just suffered with Pulmonary Embolisim, I have GERD, I have arthritis in my left knee, in other words, I need help, I'm too young to have all these ailment. Your comments and suggestions are welcomed. Ps...ready to be a loser.
