    June Post Ops!

YES!!!! I am less than 10 pounds to ONEderland, and my weightloss is really slowing down. I went back and looked at MFP where I have recorded my daily weight. The total weight lost had been less every month with October only being about 17 pounds. Unfortunately, I think November will be worse yet! I am sticking to the plan. Increasing my workouts, by adding one cardo workout class each week. I am thinking that by switching up the workouts, perhaps it will jumpstart the weightloss again. The most I have every eaten in one day is 700 calories, so I know it isn't that I am overeating! We just have to be patient for our bodies to get on board!! Best of luck... Carol

Hey RJ! You are NOT the same "fat guy" no matter what the camera says! It is not all about the camera either, a photographer can make you look larger or smaller than you are depending on how they set the lighting and the pose. Compare the pics to ones that were taken a year ago, and I am sure you will see a HUGE difference. I have a family pic scheduled for tonight - I'm sure I will be looking for support tomorrow! Carol

Here's to a new week! Last week was probably my worst week since surgery. Monday I had to go in for a gyn procedure, hysterscopy, d&c, and placement of an IUD. It was all supposed to be done under deep sedation, but due to some problems, they had to put me all the way under and intubate me. It really took a lot out of me - my throat was so sore I couldn't talk for two days. To make matters worse, last Monday I was up a pound and a half - and it took all week for it to drop back down. This weekend the scale has been moving, I am back at the Y, and I feel like I am back on track. Looking forward to a new week! More good news is that the pathology report was normal!!

This week our office took the bosses out for lunch at Olive Garden. I Googled Olive Garden for the nutritional information for the items on their menu. I would suggest doing this. It helped me make a very good choice so I knew exactly what I was doing. I found an item on the menu that was high in protein and low in carbs. I was down nearly a pound the next day! Other ideas that I have been told is to order off the children's menu or just an appetizer. But I would caution you that either of those choices could leave you with a meal high in carbs, fat, or sugar and low in protein. Remember to really enjoy who you are with, not the meal you are eating.

I have the same thing happen to me. I have no idea how the scale can know when I am approaching a milestone, but it ALWAYS stalls just before I get there. Then, once I hit it, it is smooth sailing again until I get close to the next milestone. AMAZING!! I just keep telling myself that it will eventually move - I am getting lots of lessons in patience!! Congrats on approaching 100 lbs! It is a wonderful feeling to be able to say "I have lost 100 lbs" instead of "I have almost lost 100 pounds"! You will be there soon!! That is exactly why this is a journey, we are going to make mistakes or have bad days. I would suggest that you not 'punish' yourself with liquids only, but just focus on getting back on track and perhaps fit in a little extra workout or a walk in today. The exercise will help you feel better, and it always leaves me with a sense of pride in what I have done, a positive emotion instead after a negative one. You are not alone! I have not broke YET. However, I feel like I could easily eat three times what I am currently eating. I worry about the day that I break. Tomorrow is over, forget it. Today is a new day. Make it a great one!! Carol

I would suggest you Google Bariatric Advantage. If you go to their website they will send you a sample pack, then you can choose the flavor you like best.

I used the same brand in chocolate until I hit 3 months. They taste like tootsie rolls! They are spendy and you need to take four a day, but they were my treat everyday! Bariatric Advantage does offer samples. You might want to contact them and see if you can get a sample pack.

Momma_doe, I absolutely love your post! I also think you are absolutely right!! I hear the compliments, but I don't seem to really be feeling them. It doesn't help that even my small clothes now are getting baggy. A very good problem, but I feel frumpy. The scale is moving, I have not had more than maybe a three day stall. I have yet to dump or vomit, and so far no hair loss. I keep waiting for the bad stuff to happen, and it just isn't. I should be grateful, but instead it worries me. Go figure!!

Hi RJ, I too am having problems. In all honesty, I still am the fat girl. I still have 70 pounds until I reach a goal. Even then my BMI will put me in the overweight category. The skin issue, especially with my arms, is very hard to see. I keep trying to celebrate the victories that I do achieve and keep my focus there. When I am feeling especially fat, I hit the YMCA, because there is nothing like a good workout to make you feel better about yourself! Keep on keeping on!!! Carol

I know this might not be the popular choice, but go for a walk, get some exercise. It will help you work off some of the bad mood and make you feel better about yourself. You will burn some calories instead of add them! I hope tomorrow is a better day!
