It definitely is frustrating when the scale doesn't move as quickly as we would like. Just continue to get your required Protein in and your water and you will see the numbers drop. I was told protein and water intake are the keys to success. In regards to weighing I weigh everyday. I find it keeps me in line. I made a chart when I had the surgery and I log my weight once a week. I will do that for the first year. I am 9 months post op and having my weight history from the day I had surgery is very helpful as I can see my trends. I also use myfitness pal and log my food intake daily. I started that my first week also and my main reason in tracking is to keep track of my protein intake, and check sugar content and carbs. I've noticed as long as I keep my protein high, get my water in and limit carbs to under 60 a day the scale moves. I am exercising most weeks and started a 5k training program when I was 2 months post up. I completed the training program in September and since then have run 9 races. I think that has helped me too! Just keep following your plan, add your exercise and check you weight at least once a week so you can tweek your program if need to and you will be shocked at your numbers!

Thanks! The loose skin is not cute at all but so much better than carrying an extra 103.5 pounds around. I'm strongly considering having a tummy tuck once I lose the remaining weight. I'm just 9 months post op and have a few more pounds to lose.

Congrats! You look great! It's unreal the sizes and options that are available from losing the weight. A size 6 is great! Was that your goal? I said I wanted to be able to wear a size 8 because it was a single digit. I now own and can wear an 8 it it blows mind! I was wearing a tight 22/24 when I had my surgery!

Your doctors right. I had a hard time the first few weeks with water and protein and when I increased my water intake the weight started falling off. I bought a 32oz water bottle and fill it up when I got up in the morning. I try to drink 32 oz by 4pm and drink another 32oz by the time I go to bed. I keep the water bottle with me at all times. Try that it may help. It definitely helps me get my water intact in. In regards to protein I would suggest a good protein powder and drink away! Lol. I still drink a protein shake every morning for breakfast. I use Isopure Dutch chocolate or Nectar chocolate truffle. I mix with skim milk ( they can both be mixed with water) and drink it throughout the day (12oz) and it gives me no less than 50-60 grams of protein so any protein I eat is a bonus! Good luck and happy losing! Feel free to contact me anytime.

    Finally fit in "normal" clothes!

Congrats! Isn't it the best feeling ever??!! I was so excited when I was able to shop in stores outside of Lane Bryant and the plus size department! I am 9 months post op today and I bought a pair of jeans in a size 8 the other day! I couldn't believe it! I went to 4 different stores to see if it was just a fluke that I could fit in The Limited size 8 jeans and it WASNT! I was able to fit in an 8 in 3 out of 4 stores and a 10 in the one store but hey I started this journey 9 months ago wearing a tight size 24! It's amazing!! Congrats again, smaller sizes are in your future, it's just the beginning!! Enjoy
