I tried Broccoli Cheese soup and it hurt so bad as well. We live and we learn. -
I picked broth from my favorite Chinese restaurant from their Won Ton Soup and it was a great change up for me. Some people on here also have broth from Pho which is another Asian soup, but we don't have any places around here with it. It gets better. I am 17-days post op and it gets better.

I need to know how fresh fruit fits into our new lifestyle. For example, I would like to add a banana to my vanilla unjury Protein shake. Can I do that? I don't understand how natural sugars from fruit are tolerated and will they cause dumping? Thank you for any information. I am 16-days post op.

I had my first check-up today (10/03), I am only 17-days post-op from my Lap-band to RNY revision. The doctor said everything looked great. I was cleared for the pool and taking baths. However, my doctor does not push Protein shakes. He feels like you should eat your protein and eventually you will get all of the protein you need from your food. I guess I didn't listen well, because I have been forcing down Protein Shakes. The doctor only wants me to eat if I am hungry. He doesn't want me to eat just, because it might be Breakfast time or dinner time. Does anyone else have a doctor giving them these guidelines for eating?

I finally broke down and called my doctors office about my back pain. I am 15-days post op and I have had a terrible back ache for 5/6-days. I have never had any sort of back aches, so this is highly irregular for me. I tried Tylenol and it won't even help the pain at all. I guess I am having "spasms", because the pain comes and goes. I am waiting for a call back from the office, now.

Can you have dumping syndrome with the shakes/ hot flash / increased heat rate, but it pass and not have to actually "dump"? I think I just had an episode after I ate Broccoli cheese Soup. It lasted about 15-minutes. I guess the soup finally passed through my stomach and now I am better, but man that was scary. I am only 2-weeks Post-op today.

I have a terrible pain on my left side near the area that the doctor told me would be painful. However, I was feeling much better and now (6-days after surgery) this pain has crept up and it bring tears to my eyes when I turn or bend a certain way. Is anyone else experiencing this pain issue? I have pain mess, but when I say it hurts I mean "IT FREAKIN HURTS!!"

Okay, thank you. Maybe the soup mix had sugar and I didn't realize it. Glad it passed, it was the first time has happened and it scared me.

Tried broccoli and cheese soup, but not so good. It just didn't work. Oh well, can't blame a girl for trying. Today, I am 2-weeks post-op and this is the first thing that didn't really work out. -

Incision site "sunk-in"
bb00024 replied to bb00024's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thank you. That makes me feel much better. That is why I love this site. -
My incision site has sunk-in, it is on my left-side. I believe this incision site is the largest incision site that the scooter uses for his instruments. Does anyone else have the same situation? I am 12-days post op from my Lap-Band to RNY revision.

I want some junk food!

I bought Beanitos and they are amazing!!! They taste exactly like a corn tortilla chip, just a bit lighter. They completely agreed with my pouch. In order to control how many I ate, I pulled a set amount of chips out of the bag and put the bag away. Then enjoyed that allotted amount. I also use them with ground meat/taco salad. I also bought the Beanitos Nacho cheese flavor, but I haven't tried them yet. A great snack treat!!! -

I was told all liquid counts toward the 64-OZ, even protein drinks, broth as well. -
I like the broccoli/cheese Soup from Subway. It is pretty mushy already, but purée ing it would work and use milk(lactose free) to thin the soup out if needed.

Holy cow, I am sooo glad I have insurance. The bills were processed by my insurance this week and the bills were a little over $55-K for my revision from Lap-band to RNY. WOW!!!!

I don't notice it with breathing. It feels like a back-ache. Did you read Amanda's post, she had a freaking blood clot. That is tripping me out.
