Yep u hit the nail on the head. With this life change so many don't understand. That's why it is great to have people who know exactly what you are going through. It's truly one of those things you had to have had this surgery to,"get it." The friends and support here is mind blowing. Thank The Lord I found everyone! Dori is right about your month surgery group. Those are the folks who are right there with you in recovery and invaluable with sharing and getting feedback as they are the same time frame.

Blue turtle and Betsy..hang in there! So close to making it there. The pre op is the rough part. It's definitely not easy but it's worth it! You can do this!!!

How many oz are you able to eat?
ajustice replied to Christi85's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm over 8mo out and I'm probably close to a cup. Denser proteins I can't handle as much in volume. I think my pouch has mood swings cause somedays I feel I could eat more and then others a few bites and I'm so full I'm breathing heavier. Generally I'm probably a cup on a good day. -
Hi! Well my cycles are definitely more regular now. Not exactly on a definite pattern but I get them consistently. I even became pregnant in September which was wild after 3 years of nothing. Unfortunately I miscarried but since then even I'm getting periods at least monthly. I wish I could say the hair growth had stopped but not totally. It doesn't seem as heavy but I still have it despite being very close to goal. My 1st period or so after surgery were pretty brutal. It's a bit better now. Idk if this is my new normal.

What To Expect When They Wake Me Up In Recovery!
ajustice replied to MinnesotaDreaming23's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I don't remember much until I got to the floor. I briefly remember waking up and seeing other beds with people but I just wanted to sleep. After sleeping for a few hours I was up and walking. I was pretty comfortable with my pain pump and every time I walked I got further and further. My oxygen dipped low at 1st but I had severe sleep apnea. -

Awesome! Well the tattoo I have on my left boob is definitely droopy. Then again my boobs are almost totally gone just some skin where they use to be :/ I've had a funky smelly episode from a bit of skin closing over my belly button. I kept just trying to make sure I keep it dry and used soap and Water and occasionally a q tip with alcohol. It was itchy and funky but it's a lot better. I can't afford plastics either but my thighs are like roll up lamp shades. I could literally roll the skin up. This is the year we reach our 1 year surgerversary!!! Happy New Year -

What ya eating tonight?
ajustice replied to OleHippieGal's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had my black eyes peas and cabbage. I've always heard the cabbage for money and peas for luck! Had to keep up with tradition. -

I have a huge move next week across country and away from my family. I think my goal for this year is to adapt well, get more in shape, learn to ski, and work on continuing improving my health. -
