188.8...down from 213 day of surgery..1 month today post op. my highest weight 230. Taking the victories as they come

It was awful!!! Pcos had made mine irregular but when it finally came it was a nightmare. Possibly true in what I've heard about estrogen being stored in your fat cells and maybe it makes it go a bit whacko. I couldn't leave the house

Today marks my 4th week post op (surg 4/30) I'm having a hard time with food. I'm still pretty much soft and mush but I seem to have issues with no eating slow enough or just not feeling I'm full until its too late. It's not like every time it's the same amount so it's kind of weird. I only know I'm full when I feel the pain in my chest and then there comes the rush to make it to the bathroom. I'm getting my liquids in for the most part my protein too. I've lost 24lb today upon weighing. I'm thrilled by the changes I'm noticing but I have nobody to talk about these "other" parts of surgery really..like trying to plan out what I need to take to work with me,what I can eat,what if I have to vomit at work, eating out with family or friends, trying new foods, dizziness, nausea and fatigue. I don't regret having this surgery as overall I think it's going to make a truly positive change my life I just wish I could hurry up and get over this not so pleasant part.

Just don't rub them and they don't bruise as bad it was a different experience cause I'm a nurse and usually on the other end. Fortunately once I was released back home he put me back on my aspirin and no more shots at home. I just have to be religious about my Pepcid twice a day so I don't have as much a risk for ulcer.

I'm 3 weeks out also and went to lunch with friends. They were quiet shocked and seeing me only take a few bites shocked them even more. 1 more week then on to soft diet. It's challenging but down 22lb so I keep trudging along and hope nobody notices much.

I take Aspirin too and idk if I will ever have another child. I have had multiple miscarriages but didn't know at the time it was because my body clotted off the placenta. I know I can't get pregnant until at least a yr so I'm not sure what to use for bc? Are u using anything? I can't take anything hormonal and I don't want to have a para guard for a year basically. Any recommendations?

Have u had these little episodes where u totally feel bummed out about loss of the previous things? I dealt well with the family having pizza from my fav place and tonight I keep thinking I just want to go to the little yogurt place! It's fat free not sugar free and I know I prob couldn't manage more than 2 bites!!! I have just had this yogurt on the brain!!! Maybe I'm having some per Pms symptoms? I was supposed to start the day of my surgery (18 days ago) and I have yet to start. I think the wear & stress of the surgery prob threw me off a bit. Just bummed on a Sat night while the hubby and my kiddo are having grilled burgers and I'm even ok with that!!! I don't want ice cream I just want some yogurt!!!!!

Hi I'm new here too! I am 2wks post op today and feeling great. I can't believe how it seemed so impossible I'd be on this side when I worried about if I could or would get surgery for so long! Best wishes to u. I'm here to help anyway that I can. Good luck!
