Cool. I feel the same way about my "safe" life occasionally, and then I look at my kids and remember to be grateful.

3.5 Mons Post Op & Only 15 lbs To Go!

Great routine...it certainly has paid off for you. I have a hard time with any exercise that strains or puts pressure on my side, so I do a lot of swimming and Water aerobics. I can feel the burn when we do the toning exercises, so I think I'm on the right track.

    JUST GOT THE CALL

I do think there's wisdom in a slow pre-op process to get mentally prepared. My process only took four months, and it was a lot of info to process, and not a lot of time to make pre- op lifestyle changes. It was fine, but more time would have been fine, too.

  7. I have yet to eat a food that makes me dump, but I also haven't tried any that would. My biggest problem isn't emotional eating, it's wanting to eat when I'm bored. Good thing I have this forum and all of you! I'm grateful, you all are great!

Thank you for your kind words... I do make lentil soup, but it's kind of a pain as the lentils have to be soaked, rinsed, picked. 1 lb lentils-Then you saute two chopped carrots, two celery stalks, 1chopped onion, 2 cloves garlic in a little olive oil. When onions are translucent, add 2 quarts chicken broth, 1 cup seeded, chopped tomatoes, and lentils. Add 1/2 t. Cumin and 1/2 t. Coriander. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for about 40 minutes or until lentils are tender. Then puree soup with a hand blender until it's as thick as you want. Add salt and pepper to taste. 1 cup has 186 calories, 4 g fat, 12 g protein, 10 g fiber

The logical part of my brain tells me that either the scale is wrong or it's water weight. The emotional part of my brain tells me I'm a fat pig. I'm wearing the same shorts I did yesterday, and they fit fine....oh wait...duh! I had minor surgery yesterday and got a bag of fluids...maybe that's it.
