Feeling guilty for living in Florida...

I live in Wisconsin...more polar vortex next ten days. Happily, I will be in Phoenix. I don't even feel a little but guilty. It's going to feel heavenly. I'm going to buy summer clothes while I'm there...I have not even one pair if shorts that fits. A good problem to have. I haven't been outside in AGES, it seems. Worst winter in my memory.

I'm glad they found out what's wrong, but I'm sorry it means more surgery..that seriously sucks. Can they keep you comfortable until the surgery? Being in pain is so wearing emotionally and physically...I hope you're doing ok. Good to know you'll be in onderland soon! Great job!
  4. Surprised he opted for lap band with that much to lose..my surgeon recently stopped lap bands altogether because he was revising so many due to complications and failures.

Wow..I admire your self control. I can't imagine smoking and not eating everything in sight. I asked about high cbd, low thc pot before; do these strains give you the munchies?

You have got to be kidding...

You got this. One thing that helped me was to keep a shake to sip throughout the day rather than just drinking them as meals..made me feel less deprived.

I hope you don't all think I was being a whiner about losing weight; that wasn't my intention at all, it's just that people are starting to ask if Im sick, and a size 10 on a 5'10" body us enough.Didn't nean to be insensitive.

Ok, I've lost 130 lb. I'm wearing a size 10 pants and medium shirt. I really think I want to stop losing now, but I'm still not eating enough. I guess it would be nice to have another 10b cushion when / if I regain, but I don't want to look sic, either. Carbs really bother my stomach unless they're complex, so adding more carbs isn't the answer...any ideas?

    Anybody got tattoos??

I have 6, including a full back piece that covers a terrible scar from open heart surgery. I'm getting a new one to remember my niece who died on January 4. I have a great portrait of my soul dog Otto, who passed away three years ago. The only problem is that my tattoos have drooped because of loose skin...unexpected wls side effect!

    Marijuana

heroin is killing our young people. So is alcohol and pills. It's ok , even celebrated, when society advocates alcohol use and abuse, and thousands are behind bars because of mandatory sentencing for pot possession. Marijuana, when used normally, is far less harmful than any other drug. Of course, some will have a problem with it, but those folks would likely abuse other drugs. They need help As a chronic pain patient, I wish I lived somewhere with medical marijuana was available...don't like feeling high, though

Feeling guilty for living in Florida...

I'm from Wisconsin...two of the ten coldest winter cities ( out if the top ten) are right here in Wisconsin. I've lived in Colorado and San Diego, but ended back here because of family. But my parents are gone, my kids are grown, and after this winter, I told my husband that I will not grow old here..no way. Thinking the Carolinas, maybe. I'd go back to So Cal in a heartbeat, but housing costs are ridiculous. I am going somewhere, anywhere!

    A holiday everyday

On January 4th, my sister found my beloved niece, age 24, dead.. Sammy was a rare, talented, wildly creative girl who left us a unique gift: a personal calendar in which she had created 365 holidays, one for each day of the year. These days reflect her creative spirit: sometimes ordinary, often funny( she could NOT spell), but always full of her poignant youth, I urge you to join us in celebrating a holiday everyday. Post your experiences or your own holiday. Write a poem. Live life. January 15 th Start a conversation w/ a stranger day!

I'm so sorry to here this, Dori. I understand chronic pain and health issues, and don't you just feel like saying, " enough already"...

Ok, one more freak out, and it's a body issue. I have always been a let it all hang out girl, never cared what people thought of my body. But, girls, I am ashamed of my body for the first time ever. From the chicken neck, to batwing arms, to gut, to horrible folds in the thighs. And my butt, none...just wrinkles of skin. Do I just say screw it and dress in cool clothes anyway, or am I destined to wear capris and three quarter length sleeves in 100 degree heat? # bodyissues

That's low blood sugar from not eating....you probably feel seriously terrible from it..get some dietary guidelines from your nut. Juice helps a lot for this. Have you found a new surgeon yet?

Thanks, guys...yeah, that's better than stressing about it. This will definitely be the easiest trip I've ever packed for... I guess I'll travel like I did when I was 18 and moved ti Colorado with one suitcase. I'd feel better if i had at least one pair of shorts lol.

Help! I'm going to Phoenix in 11 days..very impulsively, to see old friends and hopefully heal from the last brutal month or so... I need help knowing what to take supplement wise..how do I transport protein powder? Also no clothes and I can't find summer clothes here yet.. Shop out there? I'm also afraid to reveal how weird my eating habits are....I can't impose and ask for special food, should I offer to pay for a grocery run? Girls, I have been in a fog for the last month..feeling overwhelmed by going.
