19 Days Out And Gained 1.5 Lbs! Why?

I weigh once a week. I stalled once a month for a long time. I just kept logging my food , drinking, and meeting my protein goals, and the weight came off, and keeps coming off. Trust the process...you got this!

    How about some NSVs!?!?

I was Mistaken for my sister...she's a natural skinny. We used to get mistaken for each other when I was thin before, and it really took me aback. Freak me out!

I use unjury unflavored...I quickly became sick of the sweetness of the flavored shakes. I add the unflavored powder to vitamin water and freeze till slushy. This gets rid of foaminess. I also add it to crystal light.

    Hobbies Anyone?

Jed is a boxer...puppies for life! We actually picked him from the litter because he was by far the calmest one. He still wiggles when he meets people, and he's a notorious kisser( a boxer problem) we have never been able to break him of it...it's just kind if under control. Love labs...they're great dogs!

    Hobbies Anyone?

Dogs have to take obedience classes, and are usually certified AKC canine good citizens. Then one must take a therapy dog course at a dog training school. Handlers must then take a handlers course through Delta Society/ Pet Partners and pass a written test ( online). Then the dog and handler take a two hour test with an evaluator consisting if 1/2 basic obedience, and 1/2 dog suitabilty and disposition to see that they can handle being in complex and distracting situations. Then the team is certified for two years. It sounds like a lot, but if you have a calm, friendly dog that us trained in basic obedience, it's not that hard. We love it!

    Stalls!

The best advice I've gotten is to stay the course, log my food, and trust the process. I stall all the time, and then I kick back into gear and will lose a great amount quickly. It's not exciting advice, and it's not what I wanted to hear necessarily, but it's the best advice I've gotten.

    Hobbies Anyone?

I do therapy work with my therapy dog, Jed. We volunteer at our local VA medical center and we work with children's literacy: the kids read to Jed. We also do Rally and are starting agility.
  11. I'm down 120 lbs. My sleep apnea us gone. My blood pressure is low. I can walk and exercise without feeling like I'm dying. My asthma us gone. Do I have loose skin? Yup...lots of it. I sag. I jiggle. I don't like it, but I knew it was probably going to happen. I wear good foundation wear, and try not to sweat it. I will probably never be able to afford a full body lift, but ya know what? My saggy butt will be around to see my grandkids. And it's not like my 300 lb.body was so attractive...I tend to forget that. For me, I need to always remember that my primary reason for doing this was for health. I've got to keep my perspective.

    How about some NSVs!?!?

Looked for tall jeans at the mall yesterday...two people sent me to xpress, and they only go to size 12. Didn't go there, but it was nice that people thought I would fit in a size twelve skinny jean. In April, I wore a 22/24! By the way, does anyone know where to get tall jeans? At least Lane Bryant had those. When I was thin before, I wore lee jeans, but I can't find tall ones except online. I guess I'll have to try one short ones for fit, and then order the tall ones online. Wish I could go to goodwill...this is expensive.

You'll get there, Dori. I think your loss has been astounding; a real testament to your commitment. I have been sidelined by my inability to exercise vigorously, too, but I figure we just have to trust the process. The important thing is for you to heal right now. You got this, my friend. Be well. I Just Cant Stop Smoking!

I got an ulcer from smoking after surgery...I bled out and needed 4 units of blood.Still, I sneak a cig every 4 weeks or so. It's the hardest addiction to kick by far. My doc did no nicotine test before surgery . I was on the e cig before surgery, then I gradually used both, then I just smoked. I was a non smoker for 12 years until I took some puffs off a cigarillo on a dare...I was smoking again in three days. It's the worst!
  21. Yup, my bmi was only 39 at my gp. She wouldn't refer me til my bmi was 40. Of course, I kept eating until my bmi was 42...never give a food addict an inch, she'll take a mile!
  22. After seriously debating all three surgeries, my history of cheating and my severe acid reflux made gastric bypass an easy choice. It has also been researched the longest and is the gold standard of wls.
  23. I do squats...now i have a muscular, but still very small booty. When I was very fit for 20 years, I still struggled with a small ass. My trainer back then gently suggested some implants..we were very good friends.lol.
