I'm from Colorado and have kaiser, I just talked to my PCP about his thoughts...1 yr later I'm on my way down to goal weight. Kaiser has a great program in the Denver Metro area...but it has an almost 6 month waiting list before it starts. After that it goes pretty quickly. I started this process by getting a referral at the end of May 2012, had a meet and greet @ St. Joe's in Sept. , Started my Pre-op evaluation in January (Dietary Classes, physical, physch eval) Had surgery June 4th 2013. I highly recommend Dr. Chae if you have a choice...He has been great.

3 days out from surgery and and I'm not feeling to bad. I have noticed that since getting home and doing more moving around that I am more sensitive in my abdominal area not really "pain" just a tight feeling. Took 1 pain pill last night right before bed and actually slept about 6 hours, my previous record was about 1 1/2 hr. Still working on getting more fluids, I'm so scared of overdoing it and getting sick that I think I'm being overly cautious. I'm like everyone else...can't wait to get the JP drain out. It will come out at my first post op visit on Wednesday. I honestly think that I made this out to be much more painful than it has been. Congrats to those of us that have started our new life and my thoughts and prayers to those about to begin,

To all my surgery buddies scheduled for tomorrow like me...Hold on tight, we are about to go on a grand adventure, I m sure it will be like a Roller Coaster ride, it will have its ups and downs, be scary and thrilling at the same time , but when it's all over, We will be pumped up and glad we did it.

I talked to my Dietician and she told me that the combination of both whey concentrate and whey isolate is fine, you still absorb some of the concentrate. I use the body fortress brand at walmart as well. -
Nervous...excited... scared, But can't wait till everyone is calling me a big loser
