My DH told me to put together a list of all my favorite restaurants and every night we've been having dinner at one of the restaurants on my list. I feel terribly guilty but he keeps telling me to enjoy it while I can. He's so good to me, I'm very lucky.

Guess I'm a little late, but my name was already added to the list. I'm getting banded April 1st and I'm WAAAAAY excited! Just 10 more days!!!

How do I find that struggling bandsters website? After all my research, I believe that Dr. Sanchez will do a great job but I'd like to see the other side of the spectrum and hear the stories of those people that may not have had such a good experience.

I'm flying to Monterrey Mexico for my surgery and I'm VERY exited! I've been doing some research on the surgeon, but I still have my concerns. Has anyone ever been banded by Dr. Rodolfo Sanchez? Will I have to fly to Monterrey Mexico every time I need a fill or if there are any complications? I called my local bariatric doctor and they want to charge upwards of $500 for fills. Can anyone offer advice? I'm anxious and nervous but excited all at the same time!

How do you add those to your post? I'm not very good at this!

This is hillarious! I have to say I'm very excited about getting banded on April 1st, but not too excited over the prospect of becoming a live fumigator! Thanks for the laugh!

I'm 27 years old and I'm flying to Monterrey Mexico on March 31 to have lap band surgery with Dr. Rodolfo Sanchez. I'm also going to have cosmetic surgery (nose and chin) with Dr. Cardenas. In the last 10 years I have had countless struggles with my weight. I've been on every diet from Weight Watchers to Jenny Craig to Atkins, name it and I've done it. Some were successful, most were not. I will have my one year wedding anniversary in a few months and I still haven't ordered any wedding photos because I can't bear to see myself in them. I've had serious depression for the last five years and will not go out with friends or relatives because I'm ashamed of how I look. Most recently, I refused to attend my father-in-law's funeral because of the shame. I've been so consumed with my image lately that I'm afraid my husband will get tired of it and leave. I'm 5'9 and weigh 245 pounds. My goal weight is 150. I'm sorry to drag this on, but has anyone had surgery with either of these two surgeons? I'm terribly frightened and I'd appreciate any reassurance anyone can offer...

It's great to have found a place to share with others that are going or have gone through the same thing. Thank you all for your support. I plan to stay in Monterrey for a little over a week. I arrive there on March 30 and have my cosmetic surgery the same day. I have my banding scheduled for April 1 and I return home on April 7 unless I run into any complications (hopefully not!)

I'm scheduled to have my surgery on April 1st in Monterrey Mexico. I'm excited but terrified. My surgery will be performed by Dr. Rodolfo Sanchez. Do you know if Dr. Delagarza is associated with Dr. Sanchez in any way?
