What ya eating tonight?

I am DYING for roasted chicken. Every time I go to the grocery store that's all I smell from the rotisseries. But for someone who's single, it's not worth making just for myself. Maybe I can talk my mom into making it this week. -
I'm about a month post op and right now I'm walking about a mile and a half everyday. I'm just curious to see how many of you do any other workouts (zumba, weight lifting, crossfit) besides walking and what you are doing. I guess I'm ultimately wondering if I can just get away with walking or do I need something extra.

I've been making protein Popsicles. It's a cup of chocolate protein powder, 1 cup of milk, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Blend really well and freeze. With the protein powder and milk I use its almost 20grams of protein and they are very creamy like fudgesicles.

I don't think so. There are a few apps that you can sync with mfp. I use runtastic for a pedometer but that rounds out your pace to the .5. Mfp doesn't give you credit for weight lifting just for cardio.

A friend of mine had surgery a little over a year ago and she drinks beer. She drinks michelob ultra or miller 64. But remember its a ton of empty calories and she doesn't drink like she used to.

I was looking at the sugar free candy today at the supermarket and I noticed that its really high in fat. As much as 15-17 grams per serving. I thought that was kind of strange.

I'm a murdrer!!! ???? I think I'll cry as I'm eating him. Lol. -
My nut said to concentrate on getting my liquid in first and then add the protein. By a week out I think I was getting about 25-30 grams. I'm almost 4 weeks out and getting about 50 in a day and she said that was great.

I just went to red robin. My first time eating out since surgery. We split a whiskey river burger and got the BBQ sauce on the side. I took everything off of mine and just had the burger with the cheddar cheese and a tiny bit of the BBQ sauce. It was good but I didn't finish my half. The waitress kept coming by an asking me if everything was alright. I kept saying it was great but I guess when it takes you a half and hour to eat a half a burger something must be wrong. Lol Oh and I'm proud to say I didn't have ANY onion straws. Onion rings are my number one weakness. -
Why can i hardly eat

I'm the same way and we had surgery the same day. It depends on what I eat tho. I could only eat an ounce of meatballs tonight for supper but had 2 ounces of chicken salad for lunch. Go figure. I think the heavier the food the less I can eat which makes sense. It'll get better. It has to. Lol -

I have the euro-professional. It has the single serving cups. I think it was $139 plus I had a 20% off coupon. -

Most insurance companies realize that 99.9% of their subscribers will not be on their insurance plans for the rest of their lives. Most people don't stay at one job for the rest of their lives and if they do, companies change insurances all the time. I've been working since I've been 18, I'm 31 now and have had 5 different insurance companies in that amount of time. One insurance company will not be responsible for for my medical bills for the rest of my life. This is the way the insurance companies look at they're subscribers. Yea they may have to pay your bills for a period of time but then you'll be on to the next one. Also they realize that 65% of medical expenses are going to be in the last 20 years of your life, where as when you are young, you tend not to use their services. This is the way they can justify not spending 20-60,000 dollars on an elective procedure. I'm 31 years old and besides this procedure I haven't had any other health issues. Besides my yearly check up I can't even remember the last time I was even at the dr. I have health insurance because it is mandatory in my state and just in case something major happens. And it costs me about $400 a month for just myself. And I work for my insurance company. They are making a HUGE profit off of me. Health insurance is big business and they all make a tidy sum.
