Hey Everyone, I am one week post op and definitely need some surgery buddies. This past week was so difficult, I was told by a lot of people that the first week is the hardest but I still had no idea it was going to be that hard..... I think it would be nice to have some friends who have been there to talk to! Please and Thank You <3

after losing 60 lbs my clothes were falling off of me, so i decided to go clothes shopping! i used to hate,hate,HATE clothes shopping.... 60 lbs down (in this picture, i've lost more since then) and i am loving clothes shopping!!! everything i try on fits! even the smaller "this will never fit me, i must be dreaming" sizes -

I get sooo annoyed when people eat popcorn around me because it smells so good. I loveeee popcorn. ugh! I will say prayers for all of us,we need them.lol.this is sooo difficult!

i'm at the same stage you are, it really sucks. even if I think of food my mouth waters lol. I've been taking bites of food and spitting it out. sounds gross but it has helped me make it this long (im almost 4 weeks post op and have been on the liquid diet for almost 6 weeks. i'm going crazy. my boyfriend keeps eating yummy food in front of me and saying "mmm" and today he teased me with a sloppy joe sandwich. I wasn't even interested in the sandwich, its not what I want. but the fact that he kept saying "mm" and waived in front of my face really pissed me off...and I wanna choke him every time he says hes hungry! go 6 weeks without food and then fn complain to me about being hungry! lol.ugh. Ive been having so many cravings that are just driving me crazy. im not even craving junk so that's good. im not even interested in it. all my cravings have been healthy. like...im dying for a tuna fish sandwich.( whole wheat toast, lowfat mayo, spinach, and chopped up celery and pickles) or the same thing but with chicken.

I used to be like, addicted to popcorn! I've seen here some people are eating it.i'm definitely going to ask my surgeon about it because popcorn is yummy lol

I've been wondering the same thing, "Is it ever ok to have popcorn?" I love popcorn so much I can't imagine never eating it again.

wow, that nurse did a good job! no bruising or anything! my first IV spot looked like that as well. 1 week post op and I still have that little red dot haha -

ouch! that must have been difficult!! I had mine in the back of my hand and then after I got out of surgery later that night they had to give me a new IV on my arm. only an inch or so from the original spot because every time I moved the iv machine would beep and need to be reset lol -
looks like they used glue! lucky girl lol -
was this your first full day home after the surgery???

I woke up to this after they told me they were going to use glue. I was NOT happy. Fibromyalgia and staples do not work well together. -

I couldn't eat or drink anything after surgery, so for the first few days this little buddy was my best friend. I sprayed the sponge with a breath spray and soaked it in ice chips, it helped a lot!
