Hi All, I live in Las Vegas. I am 8 years out of a roux n y. I am in desperate need of a buddy to get me back on track. I have gained about 25 lbs in the last 7 months and am not eating very well at all. Is there anyone in Vegas area or an on-line buddy to motivate and help be back? Hi Looking to see if there is anyone or any support group in Las Vegas?

The first question would be, are you eating out of your pouch? What do you eat? How much?

Has anyone experienced abnormal bruising? I have tons of bruising, large and dark all over both my legs. Vitamin deficiency?

Did they tell you if the pouch had fluid in it or is it solid?

My secondary pouch was off of my original pouch. let went in laproscopic and cut off the secondary pouch and re-stitched the orignial pouch. I'm sure you will, who is your surgeon? I also am a nurse. The procedure itself should probably be outpatient, or maybe 1-2 days in the hospital. They will probably have you do a barium swallow after your surgery to make sure anatomically everything is back to normal

It can be just that, a secondary pouch. You could have a couple of sutures that were not approximated close enough and when you got pregnant and things were pushed around, it could have been enough to create a sublet pouch. I had a sublet pouch immediately after my rny. I could not stop vomiting and lost all of my weight in about 3 1/2 months. After months and months of testing they did an barium swallow and it took about 2 seconds for them to see what was wrong. Hope this helps.

Has anyone had a full body lift?

I had my surgery April 2006, I have kept all my weight off, but am about 15 lbs shy of my goal. Over the past 3 months I have had cravings for nothing but sweets. I have tried various Protein bars and drinks to off set the cravings, but can't get rid of it. Anyone have suggestions for my sweet tooth that won't go away?

I use yogurt all the time. I mix 1 cup of Dannon light and fit Vanilla yogurt with a scoop of chocolate protein powder. It taste just like chocolate cake batter, YUMMY!

There are two I have found over the years that I like pretty well. I am a very picky eater, I must have tried 100 different Protein powders over the years. The first one I like the best is called "nectar" You can get it @ GNC or Vitamin World. It comes in 30 flavors or so. One scoop has 27gm protein, no sugars. I get the tropical flavor, I mix one scoop of powder, one individual crystal light fruit punch packet, and add Water. I love this in the summer because its made with water not milk. It's light not heavy. The other one I like that I just started using is called Bariatric Advantage. Again, not super heavy because you use water to mix.
