Today was Day 1 of my two week pre-op diet. I have really struggled to get even 1000 calories. I've had cream of chicken soup, jello, popsicle... But I'm struggling with these shakes. I feel so nauseated ALL DAY. I wasn't able to get all 3 shakes down and I have a variety of flavors & brands to choose from. However, I did start feeling so hungry today so I had 8oz. of V8 and it was so filling! Haven't felt light headed or dizzy but wow, the nausea is no fun! Hoping tomorrow is better! Also, I decided to cut out any sodas or carbonated drinks. That hasn't been too bad and when I get tempted to cheat, which I did today, I sucked on a little piece of beef jerky. I even chewed it but made sure not to swallow it. My dog didn't mind that I shared, lol! Hopefully I will end up acquiring a taste for these protein shake!
