I hope everyone is having a great Sunday. I got up and went to church and am so glad I did! I really got to hear what I needed to hear. I am finding that I don't make an advanced plan like most of y'all do. I am going to work on that. Today I am going to make some deviled eggs to take to work for lunch tomorrow. That way I won't get caught with nothing to eat and then obsess over food. Today, I have not been hungry. I've had coffee and a pack of peanuts. I am considering a grilled chicken salad tonight. Not sure about that yet. I know I told y'all I had a bad week, and I have not weighed all week. I decided yesterday to commit to getting back on my low carb plan. Ultra low carb is what I do, and one "carb nite" per week. It really works, if I don't mess it up! So since I was doing a restart, I decided to measure and weigh. I get so emotional and hung up on the scale, so I prayed to God that he would help me to accept whatever it said, and not to let it get me down. I prayed that I would use it as a reason to work harder, not as a reason to eat emotionally. So anyway, the scale said I lost 4 pounds over the week. Whaaaaa? My best friend explained that is God answering my prayer. See, I always feel like petty things like that don't matter to Him. Guess what? They do. So maybe the fact is, I made poor choices in eating, but I didn't eat too much. That is thanks to the band. If you are still reading, thanks for listening to me ramble. Have a great evening and a wonderful week. I have one more week of school until Spring Break! Yay. I need a break as much as the kids.

Oh my word. I have had a rough week of crappy food and feeling even crappier. I have had problems sleeping, and when I do sleep, it's terrible quality. I know this affects my appetite and decision making. I have not made the best decisions lately! Today has been okay, but the days prior to today....well, let's not dwell on that. I worked out Monday and planned on it Wed. and Fri., but then was informed on Wed. that I have a workshop after school Wed, Thurs, and Fri. Thanks, boss! I am a creature of habit and also a homebody, so throwing this in my schedule with no notice just stresses me out. I need to grow up! B - coffee L - grilled chicken house Zalad from Zaxby's, no friend onions and 1 packet of dressing. Pretty low carb- less than 10 D - 2 eggs and 4 slices of bacon - 2 carbs Water - check 2 coke zeros - check, trying to get that under control chai tea - check Y'all are all doing really great, thanks for posts, I love reading them.

I am back and hope to be able to post daily again. I went through a crazy week last week. On top of the craziness at work, I had the most ridiculous PMS ever! Sorry if this is offensive, we are all adults here. Anyway, I am trying to get back to exercising and went to the gym today! YAY. I love the way I feel after I work out. It is true for me that I have more energy when I exercise. If I don't, I like to come home and sit on the couch all night long. Eating was on plan today AND I worked out. I will be going back and reading everything I missed. Thanks for having me.

Ok, so I was MIA yesterday and am here today to hold myself accountable, since this is an accountability group. I am PMSing like you wouldn't believe. Yesterday, even though I knew I had no hunger going on, I practically ate any and everything I got my hands on. I went and bought candy and ate a bunch. So anyway, here I am feeling some self-loathing, but also understand that this rarely happens. I will get through this. Today, I have remained on track. I am also struggling with fatigue. I have taken a nap a couple of times this week, which is very rare for me. I hate that! I don't even feel like myself lately. UGH! Ive had coffee, grilled chicken salad, and a handful or two of popcorn today. Not sure what I'll do for dinner. Im angry at the hubby because he brought home two bags of mini reese's and I have a weakness for them. I believe I can stay strong.

@s_suther, my favorite Quest bar is the chocolate chip cookie dough. How about you? I also like the Cookies and cream. I try not to eat the bars every day, it's easy right now since I am out. I am still trying to get used to this time change, I wake up an hour early every morning and have a tough time getting back to sleep. I fell asleep after work today - I hate that! Today's food: B - coffee L - 1/2 c. cottage cheese D - 2 eggs, 3 bacon Water was good, also had 1 coke zero and hot tea I didn't get my walking in like I wanted, that nap took over. I am feeling a little blah tonight.

Today has been a good day. I am low on all my macros, but that will work itself out. After this last fill, I am not hungry. My fitbit says I have walked 4.92 miles - yay! I hope all is well with everyone. I am finding it hard to get online as much as lately due to school and the end of the 9 weeks. Grades are due, all that mess. I am not finding myself hungry and today I was low on food. Exercise has not been so amazing, but I did walk today, a total of almost 3.5 miles. B - coffee L - Quest bar D - 2 eggs, 3 bacon Water - at least 76 oz hot tea No Coke Zero today.

Sorry I've been awol. I have been off the computer most of the weekend. We went to a movie yesterday and I decided to e a pig. I had popcorn and candy. Then, later for dinner, I had maybe 3/4 cup of Mongolian beef from the Chinese restaurant. @@s_suther, thanks for asking about me, I am doing well. Today I have not been very hungry: coffee About 3 oz. hamburger patty with a slice of cheese on it and bacon 1 slice snickerdoodle cake 1 cup of left over Mongolian Beef Not the most healthy, but at least it wasn't a ton of food!

I stayed on plan yesterday and am happy with that. I was not happy with the scale this morning, then I went to the doctor and his scale said 2 more pounds! I blame it on coffee, Water, and jeans! Who knows. But Im not happy. I am going to a mexican restaurant with coworkers tonight and plan to have a Chile Poblano. It is a small meal and low carb. Im afraid that it's going to wreck me. I hope not. Breakfast - Bulletproof coffee Early lunch - Quest bar dinner - Chile Poblano I'm always good on water and have chai tea in the evening.

No movie for today, so no Quest bar. dinner will be that zaxby's salad, my son is on his way to get it now. I will share it with him. @s_suther, I also ordered the sample quest bars, but they never came. I hope you have better luck.

I got the band in 2007. I quickly lost 48 pounds, and just as quickly gained every pound back. I kept them for 4 years. Then, I got my head right and decided it was time for ME to do some work myself. I decided to go low carb and started running. (I do not run now due to serious knee injury, but this is about my weight loss). I lost 80 pounds within 10 months and have kept all but a fluctuation of 10 pounds off. I am currently up about 8-10. Here is the deal, you will not lose if you look at the band as a way to magically lose weight. I promise, I tried! It is only a tool. I have learned that it's purpose for me to to keep me from feeling hungry. I mean this, I am a BIG eater. I have been known to eat an entire pizza in a sitting, or a half gallon of ice cream inside of a day's time - and Im a girl!!! This is what I do, when you are in a good fill level, this is what will happen to you too: I portion out what I am eating, I always give myself an amount that looks way too little, but tell myself I can have more if I want after I eat. I eat that small amount and find that truly, I would have a difficult time swallowing more down. Then, I am done. I make sure I don't drink for 30 min. or more. I seriously don't get hungry for at least 3 or more hours. This is what the band does for you. Have you noticed the doctor's office always asked the same thing? Are you drinking with your meals? Are you eating Protein first? ARE YOU GETTING HUNGRY BETWEEN MEALS??? Because the feeling of restriction isn't the biggest things, its' the feeling of hunger - or the absence thereof. Get the fills you need, and when you can honestly cut your portions and not be hungry, you are in your green zone. It's not about knowing you will barf if you eat too much. Now, this is where it gets tricky, if you're like me. I like to eat just for the heck of it. So I have to really say, sure, I want a snickers, but am I even hungry? Asking myself that has gotten me out of many binges. And I am a binger. I hope you have read my entire post, because honestly, it took me many years after being banded to learn what I needed to learn. I hope you do better than me. I went from a size 22/24 to a 10 - for for 4 whole years after the band, i was at the highest. I have been a size 10 for 2 years. Even not being able to run hasnt caused me to gain.

I ended up on plan yesterday, so that's good. I am not exercising like I should, but that will come with time. In the past, I have gotten too obsessive over that, and had to back off. I have a weird tech question, how do you all do the @ (person's name) thing on here? I guess it tags that person, so they read it. I don't know how to do it. Thanks. No dinner plan, but today, so far here is my plan: B - Bulletproof coffee Snack- 1 5/8 oz peanuts L - No chop chili with cheese and sour cream Dinner - I am thinking maybe a Zaxby's grilled salad with no onions or bread and only one packet of dressing.

I am learning a whole lot on this thread. It seams I am not the only person who gets to the point of a binge. I am really trying to do the right thing, follow the band rules, and learn to listen to my body for hunger cues. It's hard. Today, after having my carbs yesterday, I really have been fighting the urge to eat the heck out of some carbs. I've been successful, only because I keep saying to myself, HEY DUMMY, YOU AREN'T EVEN HUNGRY!!! And that's true. Since this last fill, I am learning that I can put more in there than I should, but I don't need to. I can eat a small amount and not get hungry for several hours. My problem is not being hungry, it's the desire to eat lots of junk and any and all times. I had to talk myself down from stopping at the store on the way home for cheetos and/or a snickers. I won it this time, but I want to not want it. Maybe I'm being a whiney baby here, but I just want that urge to go away! Today, so far, I've eaten: B - Bulletproof coffee Snack - 1 5/8 oz. peanuts L - No chop chili - small portion with sprinkle of cheese and sour cream D - 2 eggs and 3 bacon Water is good, but not too much I drank one coke zero today hot tea

I chose to make yesterday my carb nite, (carb refeed). I eat low carb during the day, then have carbs in the evening. B - Bullet proof coffee Snack - 1 5/8 oz. peanuts L - Atkins chili D - Longhorn, some of their yummy bread (not too much) About 3-4 oz. filet, potato, 3/4 cup ice cream, 3 Cookies

Lisa, you have a lot on your plate. I'm sorry you're dealing with drug addiction in the family, and you are so right about using food as a drug. I am guilty of the same thing. It was my go to for happiness, sadness, stress, grief, and just regular days when I wanted to occupy my time with eating. We all have our demons to fight. I am glad you reached out. My suggestion to you would be to step back and try not to take on so much. Maybe take some time for YOU. Go get a manicure or a hair cut. Just a thought. You take care.

Ha! Definitely a small world. I actually was a paralegal before I began teaching 8 years ago - hence the nickname on my profile. Anyway, are you teaching now? Your food plan looks good. How much have you lost? When did you get banded?

Wow! Perception is everything. I just ate my chili and I portioned out a small bowl - or what I consider a small serving. Anyway, I ate it all and now I feel a little uncomfortable. It was maybe a cup - to 1 1/4. Anyway, I need to start going smaller. It's really hard when you're used to eating more. Been right on with the food plan today. Yay!

Today has been a little crazy. I have errands to do after work, so that may cut in to my workout time. Hopefully, I will make it to the gym. Today's food: B - Bulletproof coffee lunch - Quest bar Snack - Peanuts D - No chop chili, added cheese and sour cream Evening snack - Protein shake Totals: Calories: 1152 Protein: 99 Fat: 76 Net Carbs: 12 (total carbs are 31) I generally eat more calories than this...

I stayed on track with my eating plan today. I had 2 strips of bacon instead of the 3 planned. I am not hungry at all, and I know I am very low on calories today. I will mix up a Protein shake before bed! I cut back on my Water today and no sodas for about 3 days now. I was having one coke zero a day, but this latest fill made it bubble up and I burped a lot. Drinking coffee in the morning, water all day, hot chai tea this evening. I will figure out tomorrow's eating plan and either post tonight or tomorrow. I am a teacher in an alternative school program - and Shannon, this is Dougherty Co., if you remember anything about DoCo, I'm sure you know I work in a stressful environment. This is when I tend to eat, I've been working on it and it's getting better.

I understand your concern. That's one reason why I want to have the weekly carb nite, to refeed my body the carbs I don't eat the other 6 days of the week. My doctor keeps me in check.

Yes Shannon, I thought about the Water today and will probably back down from that amount. I do sip it slowly and spread it out through the day. I lost my 80 pounds doing ultra low carb, I try to stay under 30 and wanted to keep that up, however, I may be tweaking that. I have been wanting to follow Carb Nite Solution diet, that is low carb and one "carb nite" per week. So far, I have been unsuccessful keeping cravings under control after a carb nite. Im still trying to figure things out. Anyway, y'all have a great day and stay strong! Dana
