So how the heck do I lose 8 pounds in 2 days (Fluid, I know) and then stand still for 2 more days after? I am drinking a gallon of Water and eating extremely low carb - I know my calories are around 1,000-1,500. Ugh! Frustration. Oh well, move on. Going to watch a little tv, go to church, then come back and do some strenuous housework and walk the dogs. food plan: B - Bulletproof coffee L - 2 eggs, 3 bacon D - No Chop Chili I may snack in between with half a Protein bar or SF Jello

I went back and saw y'all like to post what you eat, this is something I can probably do. Again, I am low carb, and pretty much only count carbs. B - Bullet proof coffee, one egg, 3 strips of bacon. (Only 1 egg because I ran out!, usually 2) L - Small portion of "No Chop Chili" with 1T added sour cream and about 1/8th cup shredded cheddar cheese D - My plan for dinner is a lettuce wrap with ground beef, cheese, onion, tomato, and mayo inside. Possible Evening snack - Protein shake I plan to drink 1 gallon of Water today, I am more than half there. I also like to drink Chai tea with liquid splenda. How does this sound to everyone?

I am from south GA and see that we had the same doc, s_suther! I just went in for a fill this past Wednesday and have eased back into eating. I know I have restriction finally, I can feel it. I am following all the band rules, so I'm pretty excited. I have lost 8 pounds since the fill, but I know I had a LOT of Fluid that my body was holding. I am all about using this thread to stay accountable. My diet is ultra low carb.

Google low carb recipes. George Stella has wonderful, easy to make recipes. I love to make "No Chop Chili" and all you have to do is google it for the recipe. -
After 3 weeks low carb...already stalled...tips?

I am a low carber. I make sure and get a lot of fat with my meals. Also, your body is catching up with that big loss. -
I was banded back in 2007. I live in Albany, so I don't attend the meetings. I did attend some when they were here. How are you doing with your band?

I have been banded since 2007. Im down, right now, about 60 pounds, but that's because I have gained 20 since Thanksgiving. I was down a total of 80 pounds then. I need to get these 20 off, so I can fit in all my 10s again! Up to a 12 right now. My goal size is actually an 8. We will see. I asked a couple of questions, since I never really knew. I found out that I have an Inamed band - 14cc I had 7.5 ccs in it, and she filled me to 8.1 - does that seem like a lot or a little? Several years back, I was filled to 10ccs and had to have 2 taken out - I lost 9 pounds in a week! However, this is the first time I have ever felt some restriction right after a fill. I will be doing fluids and shakes through tomorrow. I guess I'm kind of all over the place, but I'm excited to get started back in the right direction to get this weight off. Does anyone else have this brand band? Im curious. I had actually never heard of it, I always thought I had Lap Band brand. LOL

My port is also in my chest, I have the same doc as Twinmom. I just got a fill today. They numb me first, then do the fill. I never look while they do it, and the numbing med is a little stingy - that's about it. Don't be scared of the fills!

How many carbs are you eating per day?

I have been doing low carb since Jan. 2. I am definitely in ketosis because I have the awful keto-breath going on. I do not count carbs, however, my daily menu consists of this most of the time... Breakfast is either 2 eggs and bacon with cheese. or an Atkins shake. coffee with heavy cream I am a USPS mail carrier, so I am pretty busy throughout the day, but I usually have an Atkins bar and then a pack of peanuts for lunch. Peanuts are 3 net carbs. Today, instead of this, I had the peanuts early, then a Hardees low carb burger for lunch. It was spectacular dinner is almost always a salad...big salad with lettuce, cheese, bacon, and whatever else I may add - ham, eggs, etc. I know I dont get a lot of carbs, but I am losing pretty well at this point. -
I looked all over this site looking for our Bagnato Bandits thread, couldnt find it. Oh well. I hope we get some dialogue going here. Hope to see some familiar posters!

Hi excitedmama, I got banded 3 yrs ago and lost well at first. I have since gained a bit back. It really is upsetting for me, but I am the only one who can turn it around. I am down a total of 25 pounds, but was down 45 pounds before gaining 20 back. Are you following a specific diet? I need to start working out. Do you exercise? -
I am hoping we get some people on this thread regularly so I can get some motivation while motivating others.!!!

I am now 12 days into the Atkins diet and love it. In the past, I have done really well on atkins and find that it is pretty much the best way for ME to lose weight. I love that I can eat good, whole foods on the diet, and that my band stops me from overeatting. I always did well on atkins but overate just because I could. I really dont count carbs strictly, but I know they are low. Here is a daily menu. This is pretty typical of most days. b- atkins shake l- chef's salad with spring mix, cheese, ham, egg and ranch dressing d -about 5 oz prime rib, salad (today i went nuts and ate 2 onion rings) snack - atkins dessert made with 2 Tbs cocoa and 4 Tbs whipping cream

Today was pretty good. Again, I am a low carber. I am fighting a little boredom and the urge to eat cookies or something else that has too many carbs. Oh well, Ive done well avoiding it so far. B- atkins shake L- chef salad with egg, ham, cheese, spring mix and ranch dressing d- about 5 oz prime rib, salad with lettuce, tomato and ranch dressing (I ate 2 onion rings) snack -atkins recipe chocolate pudding. 2 tbs cocoa and 4 tbs wihpping cream. It is YUMMY

I have learned that low carb is the only way I can lose weight. Today: B - protein shake L - grilled chicken salad with ranch D - about 3 oz steak snack - low carb choc. pudding. made with cocoa powder (1Tbsp) and whipping cream (2 Tbsp) and a pack of splenda I have been on Atkins for about a week and a half and have lost at least 4 pounds to far.

So far today: Fruity Pebbles cereal....that stuff is so full of sugar (ugh) Several tortilla chips/salsa About 1/4 of a Mexican restaurant taco salad about 1/4 cup of left over hash brown casserole about 1/4 cup of left over dressing

Ok, Yesterday: Protein shake 2 oz steak Big Salad I didnt do so well for dinner: Cracker Barrel - few bites of turkey with gravy few bites of dressing few bites of hash brown casserole 3 onion rings 10 cherry candy sticks (ugh) bubble gum, the sugary kind

Wow Missy, we have similar stories. I was banded almost 3 years ago and initially lost 48 pounds. I have since gained all but about 15 back and have really decided to buckle down and follow the band rules and lose this weight. I am self pay, which means really my hubby paid and I really need to make his investment worth every penny! Not that that is the only reason, I want to be healthy and comfortable and feel good inside and look good outside

1600 calories is nothing to be upset about. You have to fuel your body or you will mess up your metabolism and have more difficulty losing. Please dont beat yourself up. You have a lot of discipline posting your menu every day. I saw that you had been doing that NO MATTER WHAT, and decided I would too. Thanks for inspiring me.

Hi, I have read through all your posts and feel as if I know you! You look great and congrats on your journey. I will just comment on the most recent. This guy was the one you had "waiting in the wings" but he is too stupid to realize that. He has some serious self esteem issues, and I know his ex cheated on him and all, but all woman-kind cant suffer for her bad behavior. Know what I mean? Anyway, take care of your kids and you and this guy will soon fade off into the distance.

Ok, today's menu: Protein shake with strawberries blended in Protein Soup 1/2 c. Hormel Chili with about 1/2 c cheezits Dinner: RED LOBSTER!!! Yum 7 oz. of my 14 oz. NY Strip Steak 1 and 1/2 tossed salad - I chose a second salad instead of the potatoe or rice side I took about 3 tiny nibbles of the cheddar biscuit I drank lots and lots of water, unsweet tea and a cup of coffee today.

Ice cream is the DEVIL! I am an ice cream snob and only like the really good stuff too. I HATE sugar free or fat free or any of that diet crap. I am going to try the cool whip idea, and maybe the small blue bell single servings. Let's not let ice cream conquer us! -

It really depends on how tight you are. Sometimes I have issues eating scrambled eggs, but most times I go slow For snacks I like deviled eggs, pepperoni, ham and cheese rollups.
