1. I like to say congrats to everyone who made this decision to have the surgery. Before my date (4-8-13) with the knife, I read so many success stories on this board. I couldn't wait to be one of u. I now am one of u. I went from 343 to 229 (weighted in this morn). I can't believe I lost 114lbs in 4 1/2 months. I have so much energy now that I've been running over 2 miles now for the last few weeks. Started off walking with little bursts of a jog. The effect it has had on my 3 boys is the reason I took this journey. We do some much together now that I tire them out lol. Good luck to everyone and never look back

I too cant wait to go on rides with my boys. Maybe in another month I can. As far as the heartburn goes it is completely gone. That was a blessing in itself. Its 9 weeks today and down 71. I started playing racquetball again. Keep your head up and you will never look back. Good luck too you ! Hw 340 cw 269

    leg pain

I am almost 6 weeks post op and still have leg pain in my thigh. Surgeon didnt really say much about it but I have a friend who is a neurologist and he said it sometimes happen to people after surgery. The reason is they strap u on the operating table and they make it very tight sometimes causing a little nerve damage. He told me it will most likely go away over time. I hope so because sometimes is a stabbing pain and sometimes it feels like my thigh is on fire.
