I'm not really a sweet or junk food eater but I do love juice and soda, my family will buy icecream and it can sit there for months and I won't touch it. I'm afraid that after I have surgery that I may find a new love chocolate o no!

I've been thinking about getting a scale but I don't want to become consumed and obsessed by numbers which will sabotage my success so I'm not going to buy one

my question is about pre surgery tattoos I have one on my breast and one on my leg when I lose weight how will they look larger or smaller lol

I wish I could lose 40lbs in 2-3 months don't be so hard on yourself the weight is coming off and from the outside looking in that seems like a pretty fast Weightloss good luck

Hello I'm new to this site! I have just started out on this journey again for the second time and this time I'm ready, I think! lol. in 2011 I started going to geriatric seminars, found a doctor was going to get the lap band, the doctor recommended RNY butbut I was hesitant about having such a serious surgery so I stopped the process. I'm a nurse I work with bariatric patients and have done my research so now I am considering RNY or gastric sleeve. I feel this time I am more informed, I take care of the patients when they come out of surgery so I know what to anticipate and although everyone is different the surgery part is pretty straight forward it what happens when you go home and start living life what but I guess I will find out forward. my initial consultation is may 9th with Dr Coirin in Modesto CA

that's a good idea about adding the sugar free syrup to the shakes never thought about doing that thanks

@leticia yes i do know that they have an office across from the hospital which makes it more convenient for us Stockton folks

thanks for the info about the protein shakes i don't mind some of them like Atkins but they are so darn expensive and can b pretty gross

did you not achieve you're weight loss goal with the lap band

what procedure are you revising? is the question lol

@ tcisme let me know which protein shakes are worth trying. @elli'smommi congratulations hopefully you'll get your surgery dates soon you mentioned that you had a revision surgery what procedures will you be having.
