me too I had surgery the same day as u! congrats! I haven't been drinking broth because it's nasty and too salty, my blood pressure was high after surgery so all I've been drinking is water crystal light and jello even crystal,light is getting too sweet so now just water. Tomorrow I can have protein shake and pureed foods I can't wait!

wow good luck to you what type of work do u do? I had surgery on 9/30 and can't imagine going back to work yet. Take care of yourself.

wow I haven't heard of this before. Do u think your pouch has gotten bigger? Have u started gaining weight?

God is good! I made it through surgery! I was the first case 7:30 sharp. Woke up at 4:00 am speed dressed woke my hubby up, still going from the mag citrate! Got to the hospital at 5:30 went and registered with admissions. 5:45 up to preop weighed in no Weightloss even with all the crapping! 6:00 Iv in first try yes! bp heart rate.blood sugar normal. 7:00 taken down to surgery, kissed my hubby good bye, waiting for my nurse to see me in surgery. Said a prayer, nurse came over talked to me, surgeon came over talked to me, met anesthesiologist gave me a sedative to relax then wheeled me into surgery. During this time I was strangely calm, this was my first surgery ever! The anesthesiologist places a mask over my face told me to breath deeply 3 times and that's all I remember. I don't remember dreaming, being awakened from surgery, recovery room nada. I remember waking up in my room seeing my friends that I work with fussing over me placing me on telemetry, telling me where my painbutton is. I turned to my hubby asked him if they did the surgery. He said yes the surgeon told him surgery went well. Thank you God. By 3pm I was up walking, pain minimal, Foley catheter uncomfortable, back to bed minimal nausea. 5pm kids.up to see me sat up in the chair for a while quite groggy. Still minimal pain. This entire experience has been good minimal pain, don't feel like I has surgery, very little nausea. only set back my diastolic bp has been through the roof. Saw my regular Dr Friday got put on another bp med. Hopefully that will change soon, I will see the surgeon today. Highest weight 255 preop 242 current weight 229 I've lost 13lbs in a week pretty shocking.

Tinymamiof3 remember this, don't let what others think about you or your situation get you down! We all have our needs and wants I would never judge you for going after what you want and forget about what some people have to say about your situation. As long as you take care of your business take care of your children and yourself then who cares. We all have problems and issues No One is perfect and people shouldn't be so judgmental! With that being said if you want to go get 10 boob jobs then good for you and if someone doesn't like it maybe they should keep their comments to themselves. I have been married for 13 years had my first child at 18 and let me tell you everyday is not a walk in the park if I put the things that I go through maybe people would be saying negative things too. This site was designed for us to be supportive of each other. I'm pretty sure not every day is a bad day in your marriage. If you are still there then that must mean that things are going ok.I wish you nothing but the best. You are always so supportive on this site, encouraging cheering people on Kudos to you.

Hows your recovery going, even with the swelling is your stomach flat

Hey Amanda it's hard to be around others who are eating but you have to come to grips with seeing people eating foods that you can't or it's going to drive you crazy! The day before my surgery my family.and I went out to eat after church Mexican food. I had beef soup, which I had to pick out the good stuff, my family are everything that was good torts, quesodillas, rice and beans etc. I dealt with it and it was hard, because I was the one having surgery not them. Then later on that day we went to a babyshower where there were lots of good things people eating a smorgasbord and I was sipping on my nasty Ice tea tuck but I knew that I couldn't eat after a.while I was fine so try not to be mad at your boyfriend because he didn't make this life change you did. P.S. I cooked for my family and I couldn't eat a luck of it last night they were grubbing and all I could have was some miso soup lol.

Hey you and I had surgery on the same day, I'm tired of clear liquids too.

We'll IM getting ready to leave for the hospital, slept pretty decent still having loose bowels but that ok hopefully IM finally finished. Pretty soon I'll be on the losers bench.

thanks everyone for the well wishes! Surgery went smooth no issues, minimal pain! lots of gas in my pouch though and my diastolic bp the bottom number had been my only problem just saw the Dr. I was discharged home on Wednesday.

I can't believe that my surgery is on Monday! I'm the first surgery on Monday! I've been busy at work all this week so I haven't had time to get nervous.Yesterday I told my Co-workers about my surgery, I figured since they are going to be to be taking care of me I should be the one to tell them. Well tomorrow I will be clear liquids all day and as of today I'm down 15lbs. I can't wait to join you guys on the loser's bench.

surgery went well! I have had minimal pain, more gas and nausea than anything else. Foley catheter is out as of today, been able to keep my fluids down. just saw my surgeon he said everything went elk and that my liver looked good. If everything goes well I will go home tomorrow.

thanks for all the we'll wishes! I think I over did it on the bowel prep drank 2 mag citrates I have been on the shitter all day and night sorry for TMI! praying that this will end soon. I've been trying to replace what IM losing hopefully everything will be fine cause IM usually a hard stick and am trying not to get dehydrated. My 7 year old started crying tonight she is my shadow and is worried for her mama. I have posted and left it up to God, at this point there's no turning back. Took a couple of Xanax going to drink my last cup of tea and go to bed.

life is really a trip because knowing what you have to do and then doing it is usually easier said then done! I have been struggling my entire preop diet really becoming depressing but I have come to far to turn around. My surgery is on Monday I'm really excited for this next phase in my journey. Good luck I realize that this is a major step toward living a healthier life, if we fall down all we can do is get back up and dust ourselves off.
