Lost - 105 pounds... and 1 wedding ring. :-(

Mine falls off and has for months now. I don't dare wear it anywhere. I wanted to wait until I reached goal to actually get it sized from the jeweler. It's cool that it is so big....but I miss it. I will tell you what i did do....... I found a couple of really cute rings on ebay, not real of course, but nice ones that were very affordable to hold me over until I get mine fixed. I got a couple of different ones and wear them occasionally so my finger doesn't feel so naked. -
Hi, my surgery was April 2nd, 2013. Sound like you have a great variety of foods that you choose from. I have found myself eating turkey burgers more frequently lately. I may have a slice of cheddar cheese with it. Great Protein and NO carbs. It's awesome! I also eat alot of salad. I have at least 1 or 2 greek yogurts a day. If I feel I have overdone it or just not in the mood to eat, I may just have a protein shake. For a while, I felt I was eating too much, so I have started to log my food again and am doing great at it and the scale is moving now instead of staying on the same number week after week.

Gas-X strips worked wonders for me. I was very surprised.

My surgery was April 2nd. My 1 yr check up is actually scheduled for March 31st. So I have 8 weeks. I was hoping to be at goal by then, but don't think that is going to happen. Maybe, I can reach another 10 lbs down by then. 105 lbs. in a year wouldn't be too bad. So many have done that so much quicker, almost feels like I am a slacker. -

I hit 204 today too! Seemed to be stuck forever. I have 2 lbs to go to FINALLY get out of the 'obese' category and into just 'overweight'. 29 lbs to my goal. I may change my mind once I get there, but that is where I remember feeling good about myself and how I looked and feeling healthy. Being 5'9", the charts say I should weigh less, but reaching 175 will make me happy. Now to just keep this momentum going. Would LOVE to be at goal at my 1 yr checkup!! -
So sorry to hear that, they are miserable. I have had the exact opposite since my RNY. I had my surgery 4/2/13 and since then have had 1 migraine. I use to get them pretty regularly. I can't help but think that something that used to be in my diet was the trigger for mine. I hope you get some relief soon.

I am joining you. Thanks for the invite. I have lost 87 and need to lose 37(ish) more. I have been stuck at 212 for months now, and like you, it is because of the LACK of exercise. I won't be able to go to the gym ($$$) but I have a nordic track and a treadmill and some weights here at home. No reason for me not to be using them. I want to get 12 lb. off THIS month. I have something to do the first weekend in Feb and I want so bad to be down 100 by then. Then 2 months to get the rest off. I know it can be done if I do what I am supposed to do. My 1 yr check up is scheduled for Mar 31 and I want to be at goal by then. -

Confessions Of A Chocoholic
kjrny2013 replied to patticake1448's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
No, you are not alone, I must admit, I am a cheater too. I get so upset with myself. I have dumped a time or two or three. It seems though that I can pretty much eat anything. The last time I dumped was from a White chocolate Mocha from Starbucks. I was MISERABLE. But the junk food (that my husband still insists on having in the house) does not phase me. Cookies, candies, Desserts don't make me sick. Most of the time I do have the willpower to resist, but there are times I don't. I have lost 88 lbs in the 8 months since surgery, but is so minimal the past 2 months. I need to get back on track 100% because I have 35-40 more I need to lose. I wanted so badly to be there by February, but doesn't seem like a possibility anymore. Then when I see on here that people have lost 100+ in less time than I have lost 88, I realize that I could be there too if only I had stayed on track 100%. I have a friend getting surgery next week and she is going to start her liquid diet this week. i thought about doing it with her, or at least the 5 day pouch test, to get me back on track. We can help to keep each other honest. AND I MUST start exercising.....in my head I WANT to do it, but it is so hard to just MAKE myself. -

What are the "foamies"?
kjrny2013 replied to Kcarr1120's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
When I have had food stuck...it caused excess saliva and gets all foamy all the while it feels like an elephant is sitting on my chest . For me, it would keep on and on until I would throw up whatever was stuck. So much foamy saliva I would have to spit constantly and since food was stuck I could not swallow it. Very unpleasant. Thankfully have not had that happen for months now. Hope you never have to experience it. :-) -

So so sorry to hear of you and your family's loss. Praying that you will find comfort. I do feel your pain. I have lost 3 babies. I will never forget them. I wanted a baby so bad. I actually felt stabbing pains in my heart on the way to the doctor and realized that is what a broken heart feels like. It was the worse pain I have ever felt. I always thought that having 'a broken heart' was just a saying, until I actually felt it. 7 months later, I lost another baby.....further along and even more painful. Seeing someone pregnant, knowing people who were undeserving of a child were able to have them, kids having babies, all of this made me angry. People having abortions and throwing them away would infuriate me. I hated the world for a long time. I did have a baby girl a year later. . My 2nd husband and I lost a child early in a pregnancy as well about 9 years ago. The heartache was bad. Take time to heal. Stay close to each other. Stay healthy. Pray together. Know that you are not alone. We are here for you. -

I have been doing the same thing. Eating when and what I shouldn't be. In such a funk for some reason. Gotta get back on track. :-( -
I have had a beef burger or two....but LOVE turkey burgers. I dip each bite in a little A1 sauce. LOVE IT!
