Hi Dawn, I am from the Salem area and attend the Salem group. I have been working on the process since March. I just completed the second group "complexity" meeting at KP Sunnyside a couple of weeks ago. My appointment with the nutritionist and social worker is scheduled for the July 29th. I am really excited for the next steps. Unfortunately due to my work schedule I most likely will not have surgery until after the first of the year.

I'm in Oregon. Will have my surgery in at Kaiser Sunnyside in Clackamas Oregon.

I had to be referred to the Bariatric program through my PCP. She made the referral and I received a packet within a week. So far I have attended a group class, attended an eight week weight management class and my next step will be another group class scheduled at the end of this month. Still many steps to go. It's going to be a long process but worth it!

I have Kaiser too, but I am in Oregon. I'm slowly working through their requirements. Unfortunately here in Oregon there is a shortage of bariatric surgeons and most likely wont have surgery until the end of the year.
