Ok so anyone on there preop diet weigh themselves yet??? I have two days left and I'm down 7lbs!!!!! I can't even believe it!!!! I guess all that time in the bathroom doesn't hurt my cause!

Totally agree 100% about the emotional thing!!!!! The first few days I Lmost cried over every little thing!!! Then I became very irritated about the littlest things!!! Today I am feeling pretty good overall! Starting tomorrow I'm Clear liquids only Sunday and Monday and Tuesday is my big day!!!!

Sorry to say the tired feeling doesn't go away but ur body will adjust and you will just get through it! Keep ur head up and stay focused on the end result!!!

I'm allowed fruit and veggies only for the first few days too! Three days before its strict liquid only! I too didn't have to lose weight but I could not gain. And from what I was told they will weigh me at the hospital before surgery to make sure!!!! Good luck and keep us posted!!

Well feel free to keep tabs on me since I go in next Tuesday and I will keep u posted on how things went and what helped for me. I'm also open to ANY questions or concerns! Anything to help

My surgery is Tuesday May 28th!

So day three of this and my stomach is killing me!!!!!! I'm guessing my body is cleaning out the bad stuff!!!! Ugh it's not good!!! On the flip side I got more sf jello in more flavors so I can feel like I'm eating!!! Good news the hunger pains have passed and my stomach is no longer growling!!! Now five days to go before surgery!

I never use to but before this liquid diet I was drinking maybe one or two sodas a day! Today is day three and I'm not shaking any more and the stomach growling has really stopped for the most part. I think as far as the dizziness I think maybe I wasn't drinking enough Water so I have been really pushing that as much as possible. I also got some crystal light to change it up as well as some Jello so u can feel like I'm eating something

Does ur surgeon have a nutritionist at there facility! If so check with them! When I seen mine she said just bc u can keep it down doesn't mean u should be or are ready to! Don't sabotage urself or ur decision to do or eat things too soon! You would be totally upset if u sis all this for nothing!

How far out has ur surgery been???? I'm also having my gallbladder out too! Curious how I will feel after that!!!

I got my coffee protein at vitamin world. But u can order click at GNC.com. Not sure about anyone else but my liver is enlarged and my liquid diet is to hopefully shrink down the size of my liver before surgery. My instructions after surgery are the same 7 days liquid post op! It's becoming increasingly hard to stay focused. I'm get the shakes and a massive headache and I'm only two days in. My stomach isn't growling today which is good but now it's the mental need for food I think I'm fighting! And that has made me irritated and emotional. I was just told I can do Greek yogurt and jello so that may help my need to eat!!!

I was told I could eat raw veggies and a hand fullness fruit!!! I did find an awesome protein shake that is coffee flavored so at least I'm enjoying that!!! I'm gonna call my dr and see if I can have jello! I thought about putting fresh carrots into broth for dinner!!!!! Ugh!!!! Not sure about the withdraw thing but I guess it's possible!

Ok up until this point I have not really felt any emotions about my gastric surgery scheduled for May 28th!!!! With my liquid diet fast approaching the start (Monday) I'm freaking out!!!!! I'm worried about having the catheter taken out after I wake up, I'm worried about coming home with a jp tube, and I'm just nervous in general about everything!!! Am I making the right decision???? Can I go weeks without any food ????? Help is this normal???? I'm second guessing my decision!!!

Good for you!!! I too have always been the big girl in my group of friends and also have similar problems with my husband. I have found out I have a fatty liver and gallstones! (Which explains all the constant stomach aches) my surgery date is end of May and I cannot wait to meet the new me!!!! Congrats and good luck!

Starting to feel weird about not having any feelings about surgery! Not nervous or excited!!! I am anxious about meeting the skinny me and getting the process started! Is this strange????
