What ya eating tonight?
hollyparks replied to OleHippieGal's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I put carrots, green beans, potatoes, water, cream of chicken and potatoe soup in a crock pot. Baked chicken breast then shredded it up and added to the crockpot. Added garlic, pepper, onion, and season all for spice. Its still bubbling up now. No potatoes for me but Mm mm good! HW- 290, SW (4/8/13) - 270.6, CW - 251.5 -

Thanks! HW- 290, SW (4/8/13) - 270.6, CW - 251.5 -
The nuts allowed me to have soft and mushable fruits and veggies now at two weeks postop. No corn or peels for six months. But i can have melon, bananas, canned fruit packed in juice then drained, carrots, peas, brocoli... The veggies have to be heavily boiled or steamed though. And chew good! ... Of course this is all sparingly - I'm too busy getting Water and Protein in to be able to eat much else. HW- 290, SW (4/8/13) - 270.6, CW - 251.5

We're having browned ground hamburger and broccoli in a fat free beef gravy with a little soy sauce, garlic and pepper. They're having it over elbows, mines without. HW- 290, SW (4/8/13) - 270.6, CW - 254.4 -

I hope they find the second subject soon. I hope you're not in Watertown! Kinda scary even on Cape today - they talked about shutting down the Sagamore bridge due to a strange package the police got alerted to. Turned out to be a workers tool box. Everyone is on edge. I can't wait for this all to be over... :/ HW- 290, SW (4/8/13) - 270.6, CW - 254.4 -

Yes!!! All the time!! And it doesn't hurt or anything. They sound almost like belly growling when I used to be hungry. Weird thing is I know I'm not. Lol. I'm so glad I'm not the only one!! HW- 290, SW (4/8/13) - 270.6, CW - 254.4 -

http://www.livestrong.com/thedailyplate/nutrition-calories/food/generic/chinese-food-beef-and-broccoli/ I feel like there may be too much fat. But, also can't really eat a whole cup either. Looks like you're in the clear to me! How far out are you? I'm still stage 3 mush so nothing crunchy here. I have cheated and had a couple bites of tuna the other day and it sat good with me. And i tried really thin turkey breast. But thats not supposed to start until Monday. HW- 290, SW (4/8/13) - 270.6, CW - 255.5

Lets add fried chicken and bleu cheese to your list. And bacon. And salami. And tostito restaurant chips. Ughhh, I want it bad. But I'm ok without it! I'm excited to live without it. Chinese... I feel like beef or chicken with broccoli would be good. Or some type of stir fry? I'd ask them to go light on soy since that's a ton of salt. HW- 290, SW (4/8/13) - 270.6, CW - 257.8

I can't have bread rice or pasta for the first two months. They said bread can expand some and stick to your pouch. ... This kills me - i looove carbs! its been ok adjusting though this passed week. I'm too scared to mess up and get sick or something. Knock on wood, that hasn't happened yet! -
Hi, I'm Holly and I'm pretty new to all of this. I had my surgery 4/8/13... I've been having a good time with liquids and full fluids like yogurt, pudding, and Protein shakes that i don't add enough milk to (so its basically pudding too lol )... Question is.... I'm able to have about four ounces of yogurt (or whatever else) in about a twenty minute to a half hour time frame before I stop and feel satisfied. I asked my surgeon and he says it's fine but.... Is it, really?? I feel like its too much. And when did you start eating things other than mush?? I'm tired of this already and its only been eight days! What are some things to eat that might liven my choices up?? SW -270 , CW - 257
