That's an idea! Will give that a go, thanks girl! What is your go-to fruit? And how much do you eat it and the amount?

Just a word of encouragement - everything gets remarkably better after week 7. I promise! I found week 7 was when everything changed. Really got into the swing if things and could actually eat a (small) meal and be fine. Not always this or that wrong, emotional, crying and all that. So if things are a bit tough, just know it is normal, and all will be much better after week 7. Good luck with your journey!

What do you do for headaches?
Obeasta replied to sashalk's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Mine went away!! I used to get a mother of a monster migraine once every 3 weeks but really horrible vomiting relentlessly had to be taken to emergency hospital numerous times. Also daily headaches. It stopped immediately after surgery. Only light headaches once every 2 weeks or so. And only had one migraine since the op (i have been post op for 5 months). And i think it was my own fault brought on by not eating for a whole day and then going out until late night living it up and then period started and it was just a mess. So yeah i hope it works for you as well but rny really changed my life! -

Hi friends Where are you in your weightloss? Ive lost 80 pounds. Man it is going so slow now ???? I can eat much more (still little though, not like before the op) and i am so scared i "broke" my pouch and i am not really going to lose much more. Why is it so slow? I am lucky if it is 2 pounds loss a week, perhaps not even! Hair still falling out as well. Feeling a bit discouraged. -
No, anti-inflammatories are out! Stay clear of ibuprofen and aspirin. If you really really have to take it (make it the exception rather than the rule), try and take one of those pills that protect your stomach - dont know what their names are in US, but we have Lancap or Nexium.

My saving grace at that time was gem squash! The best food i ever had. Boil them up and mash with a little dash of butter and salt and pepper. Please try it, i started crying the first time i had it. Was SO sick of liquids and so emotional. It was warm and comforting. Guys, this might be a culture/language difference, but what does foamies mean? We dont have this term in my country. Does your mouth foam? Sorry for seeming silly!

Once you're a mom, you always always have to do what is best for your kids. They are your all and for always. People come and go, but your kids are your kids. You are slresponsible for them. Be that! The rest will work out!

Emotional eating and dealing with stress
Obeasta replied to tinkycheeks's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I know how you feel! Had some hectic emotional bumps after surgery because of this. Dont really have aby advice other than just stick it out, when things get too heavy, take a step back, realise nothing is really as bad as you make it in your head and be grateful for all the good things after surgery. And start going to the gym! That helps a lot, believe me! Took me 5 months to work up the courage to go and now that i have taken this step I am sorry I didnt start earlier! Exercises realise endorphines that equip you to better deal with emotional upheavels good luck, sister! -
Hi I am 4 months post up and this past 6 weeks my skin has gotten worse and worse. I never had perfect skin, but it is totally out of control now. Anyone experienced this?? It is as if it has something to do with having this op. I am 30 years old. This is so upsetting and embaressing!

Hiya! Ok so today i did a spring cleaning in my closet. And found these skinny jeans which I once bought for "one day" / never even being close fitting into it. So I took a quick pic. Excuse the hurricane around me hehe. Ok so the one photo is at my heaviest - 334 pounds (yup, that whale in the pool). And the other me in the skinny jeans at 255 pounds First pic i am posting of myself, feel nervous!
-
Shame girl, thinking of you! It's rough the first days. But time moves fast and before you even know it you are 5 months post op like I am. I do not know how that happened! Stay strong and take it one step at a time

I am also on the steak a lot. Goes down like a dream, much better than chicken, so weird. Happy birthday, Dori! And congrats on that awesome loss! Ok so you guys have really inspired me I am joining the gym tomorrow! It's the first day of spring here in Africa and a good time to start, I'd say ;/) Excited but also nervous! Dont want it to be a failure (like all the other times before). -
Friends! I just had an epiphany. I am almost five months post-op. Today is the start of spring. A very long and cold and wet winter is behind me. And from today I am kicking up a gear! Going to join a gym ASAP come Monday. Enough of this lazying around. The time has come for me to honestly make the most of this precious tool I have received. I have lost 75 pounds (34 kg) since my highest weight. My goal is to be under a 100 kilos (under 220 pounds) by Christmas. That will be my gift to myself. I am 257 pounds (117 kg) now. You think a loss of 37 pounds (17 kgs) is possible by Christmas? Little less than four months. Theoretically it should be. But my weightloss has creeped to a very slow loss. Perhaps my lack of exercise, but also my menu choices. I am struggling deciding what to eat and being an active participant in what i get in. I am sure i dont get in nearly enough Protein. I know I am just probably lazy to make the effort. But I do feel overwhelmed quite easily, so I try and not berate myself so often. Any tips? What is your go to menu plan for a given day? Something tried and true? I dont take shakes at all as they tend to make my feel nauseous (I am lactose intolerant). Even if i make them with Water - it still has the consistence of something milky and I struggle to get it down! Hope to hear some good tips to get to my goal by Christmas! Anyone joining me???

Guys. I am very freaked out. The more i am reading about where you are and what is allowed in relation to me, man, it worries me. Like, i was allowed to take tablets a bit more than a month post op. i started drinking alcohol about 8 weeks post op (little, i might add. Only one glass of wine, and i take a long time to drink it). What else? Oh, i can eat a bit more than most it seems. Like a small steak. I've had no problems and doing ok. Although my weight loss have slowed down considerably, but perhaps it is just also the 4 month slump. I dunno. Feel weird. Totally off my anti-depressants since the op. Perhaps I should go back on. I do have to start gymming though! -

Haha oh my goodness! Same here girl same here. Also unblemished as teen, and NOW, all of this. I am following a good cleaning routine now and decided to go sit in the sun for 20 mins or so over lunch time for vit D. I never get into the sun ever, dont like it. But perhaps it'll help?
