    Coffee with Caffeine?

From what I heart caffeine can dehydrate you and potentially cause ulcers. My doc told me no caffeine. I have had some unsweetened iced tea when eating out (I make my own decaf at home) and don't think it hurt me as its so rare. Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk

    vitamins

I was told no flintstones. A chewable adult multi with Iron. I get mine from Celebrate Vitamins as that's what my surgeons office gave me samples of. There is a good liquid multi too be wellessee. I've seen that one at Walmart and Walgreens. 2 doses a day. calcium citrate chews- 1500 mg calcium a day. They want me taking the ones with D3. I do Calcet Creamy Bites. B12 - sublingual, shot, or nasal spray. I have chosen the shot. It's just once a month and hardly hurts at all. The sublingual tasted bad to me so I like this. Just once a month and forget it. Actually did my shot tonight so I'm good for a while. Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk

    Full feeling HELP!

I had tomato soup during my first week out and had no trouble. My plan called for liquids first week, puréed the 2nd, then soft foods weeks 3-4, and then regular foods after week 5. Everyone is different though. Maybe your pouch didn't like the acidity of the tomato? Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk

    What ya eating tonight?

Had string cheese stick for dinner. Just didn't want any food. My sister just gave me my B12 monthly injection and now it's bedtime. Start to another week. Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk
  7. I still went the morning of surgery. I was terrified I would have an accident on the surgery table! I didn't but that stuff seems to never leave you alone. Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk
  8. Glad it went so great for you today! I can't wait for my moment too. I bet you felt like Cinderella at the ball. Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk
  9. Yes I am but don't talk to them much. I haven't made the surgery I've had public. No one knows apart from a couple close friends and family. I'm not friends with most of my former classmates so most won't have seen pictures of me in recent years. I suppose the ones I'm friends with on Facebook will see pictures as I slim down but this far I haven't changed my profile picture since I was pre op anyway. Not that active on Facebook for the most part. Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk
  10. This is a wonderful story! I am hoping this is how my high school reunion goes. I graduated in 2005 so 10 year reunion isn't too far off. I'm down 60 pounds since my surgery- May 30. High school wasn't great for me. I was obese even then and had very few friends. I ate lunch alone hiding from everyone else either in the lounge or sometimes even in the bathroom as gross as that sounds. I didn't go to either of my proms and cried so hard about it. Most people weren't outright mean to me or anything though a couple were. Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk

    Amusement park rides ugh!

Yeah Disney has always been good. I'm planning a trip to Disney world next summer- even though I even now could fit in the seats it was always tough. All that walking in the summer heat was so tough! Next summer should be lots better. I do plan on taking a weekend trip to a six flags since I haven't been able to ride there in years. Last time I went to dolly world I was told I couldn't ride. I was mortified. Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk

    Post Op Energy Levels

I am just over 2 months post op and I'm still tired a lot too. I do notice some more energy during the day I guess but I go to bed so early and sleep like 10-12 hours! Not sure if that's normal or not. All my Vitamin levels are fine- just had labs last week. Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk
