Banded 8/13 - NOT doing well
clorox123 replied to clorox123's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
So I went to Dr. this week .. and here is the scoop.. I had esophogram and it was cool! BUT the drink was literally trickling in.. Not like twas supposed too... So nurse said "Oh, u must have some fill in your band!".. and she took out 2 cc's of fluid!! So b/w that and my stomach being still swollen.... GONE went the chest pains. So, that cured one problem. Nerve pain will be there for a while. Don't wanna take pain meds.. cuz constipated enough.. but i'm learning ot live w/ it and some parts have gotten a little better. Cuts that I thought were infected.. ha haha. ALLERGIC reaction ot the steristrips made them all puffy.. and hot and nasty looking. Since she took them off I'm fine.. The 2 w/ puss cleared up in 2 days! Constipation is the name of hte game now.. lol. But i'm on mushies and eating a LOT more than I should be.. So i'm hoping that will help things move. Along w/ the stool softeners and laxatives and milk of mag... and fibercom.. not helping yet. but one day on it. so i hope i hope i hope.. cuz it's agony.. lol.. Never udnertsood when pple complained ab. it.. So that is me in a nutshell now.. feeling better now that 2 cc's taken out! forsure!! thanks for all your responses! Pemy -
claramae, good luck tommorow! I know you're nervous! It's normal but it will all get better. It's tough in the beginning but it does get better. Trust me, I thought it never would. Pemy

FARTHEST I'VE EVER BEEN FROM HOME IS: Israel (beautiful) BEST VACATION EVER, THAT I'D REPEAT IN A HEARTBEAT: Bahamas, Paradise Island, The ATLANTIS!! That was our best most relaxing, fun vacation! We talk about it all the time!! WORST VACATION EVER, THAT WILL HAUNT ME TIL I DIE: None and i Hope Never. DREAM VACATION IF TIME AND MONEY WERE NO OBJECT: Back to Bahamas!! SPECIAL PLACE I NEVER GET TIRED OF GOING BACK TO: Montauk, NY. We go for 2 weeks every summer but haven't gone for the last 2 summers... August Bandsters How are you Doing So Far
clorox123 replied to MissNilsa's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
HI missnilsa and all, I've been out of this board the last week. Went back to work full time, foster son came home from sleep away camp, and still not feeling great.. nerve pain.... AND the clincher is getting my son off the internet totally so proving to him I'm not on it a lot too. ha hah ha.. I'm just suffering cuz i'm losing out . but i guess that's life.. I went for pre op on Tues. as they were concerned about my pain and everything looked normal. Thank Goodness for that!! The nerve pain is still there and will still be there for a while.. as she must've cut through some. but it is slowly getting better. I was allowed to go onto mushies as of Friday.. and BOY am i going nuts! Can't stop myself. i feel no restriction AT ALL! But i definitely am eating less than I'm used to. I found myself sucking on choc. mints!! I'm horrified!1 and then before I was hungry and grabbed a peanut chew and chewed til it was gross and mushy but had one! WHAT am I doing ot myself?? So, I totally get you .. it's soo normal. It's more that i'm soo excited to after 4 weeks finally be able to eat... I'm definitely going ot have a harder time now that I'm not restircted and find that nothing is bothering me. Of course I'm not eating regular totally but even the little cheating is OK. I WILL NOT BEAT MYSELF UP OVER THIS!! I'm STILL eating less than before, forusre! AND, THIS IS WHY I HAD SURGERY! Cuz, I can't do it on my own. SO, let's hope that the fills will help and then I will know forsure that this was all worth it. Good luck and NO BEATING UP ON YOURSELF!!! -
CRAZY ATES: GET TO KNOW ME Back2School Edition
clorox123 replied to NanaRenan's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Gosh this is fun! don't know why more pple didn't respond.. was school thaat painful?? I GOT PICKED ON FOR: nothing much.. (i'm ducking.. sorry) Don't remember. MY FAVORITE TEACHER WAS: Mrs. Brumbaugh (6th grade),She taught my sister and my 2 brothers and being I was the only one who had siblings odler than me in my class, i was treated royally by her. No kidding though, she was the first teacher that made everything FUN. Every subject! LOL my BEST memory was when we took a trip to the local bakery and got to see how ev'g was made and got to BUY an'g! Chocloate covered danish! YUMMMM still my favorite till today! And then had to write about the experience and then the experience of eating our danish and the textures and taste of it.. lol... i waannt one now!!! MY WORST TEACHER WAS: A cross between Mrs. K (12th grade) English who picked on me. Mrs. Heyward (12th grade) Accounting who told me to sit down to "get a big load off my feet" :omg: and Mrs. Winthrop (7th grade) English, who was just waay too old for us.. like in her 70's forsure.. or maybe 80's ?? lol.. maybe just 60 and that was old then... MY BEST MEMORY IS: WAAAAAAY to many for me to remember. To me school was fun fun fun!!! I always tell my parents I don't remember what I learned.. so don't know what they paid tuition for (private girls school). MY JUNIOR HIGH EXPERIENCE: Awkward. I was very depressed a lot.. yet full of life so couldn't stay taht way. Suffered from serious serious self esteem issues.. MY FAVORITE TEACHER WAS: Mrs. Teichman, she cared, she was vulnerable, she new how to teach and loved us. MY FIRST CRUSH: I was a late bloomer. 12th grade.. too embarassing to say what I did to catch his attention. MY MOST EMBARRASSING MOMENT: oooh golly .. the way my mom dressed me... lol MY BIGGEST ACCOMPLISHMENT: having EVERY girl in my class thinking they were my best friend. From the nerds to the most popular. I believed in being nice to all. THE DUMBEST THING I EVER DID WAS: Told a teacher she was a bitch. LOL... (see Mrs. K from my worst teachers). Put crazy glue on a teachers chair.. DUH it dries like in SECONDS!!! didn't accomplish much other than detention when I was ratted on. LAME, huh? MY HIGH SCHOOL WAS: BY Los Angeles - more awkwardness though found my group... MY BEST SUBJECT: English, Creative Writing, HISTORY!!!!! and spelling. MY WORST SUBJECT: Math, math and math on ANY level! Science, biology, chemistry MY CLIQUE: We were IT!! A group of 4 that was nice to everyone and FUN!!!! I repeat FUN!! Could make a joke out of a tomato!! and crack the school up with it. Everyone wanted to be with us.. eventhough they also wanted to be LIKE the snobs... I was the in between person. And BOY did I get in trouble with that. Being nice to all and listening to both sides of a fight got both sides mad at me one time too many.. It was a good lesson for life. Forsure. MY MUSIC: Milli Vanilli.. Blame it on the Rain!! till they disappointed me and got caught lip synching.. lol. still love it though! EXTRACURRICULARS INCLUDED: School Choir. From age 5-17 when I headed it. It was the "it" thing to do. Any school activities I was the first one cheering and having fun! Volleyball, bike riding, and cutting class.. lol MOST MEMORABLE EVENT: All my friends winning school council my senior year. From grades 9-12! It was great.. I just managed the "elections" and watched the snobs .. fall .. the Cookies crumble!!! Senior YEAR from begining till end was WILD! FOR KICKS WE: - Spend class time in bathroom and had it synchronized taht when anyone walked in; in a second there were only 2 feet under every stall.. but really 4 poeople in one. We practiced. -For 2 weeks in 10th grade we had clas in the school lunchroom, raised our hadn to "go to the bathroom" and the teacher not knowing what we were up to said yes.. and very nicely walked to the "bathroom" door to school kitchen where we ate to our hearts content and didn't get caught. -Played the game "guess who" in middle of class. by pointing to the hair and saying "blonde" and shaking yes or no.. we did it for years... and cracked up the class. -went through 11 english teachers in 12th grade.. no one lasted we were terrors.. lol I STILL CAN’T BELIEVE THAT I: Miss all of it.. w/ all the fun and grief and time... MY GRADUATION MEMORY: Giving one of the speeches and suddenly seeing my mothers hand waving up and down trying to get me to slow down; I was so nervous. TO COLLEGE OR NOT TO COLLEGE: working my way through..lol, for the rest of my life at the rate things are going... -

It is still searing and i feell like my muscle is ripping. i know the dr. said som'g ab. cutting some nerve endings. but it is totally limiting and immobilizing me and i'm NOT happy... the pain is shooting to my back now... i dont' know.. Then, Whenver I drink I right away get a tightness in my chest area.. just by 1 or 2 sips of Water... I continue because that is it but the pain is still there... and stays... (oh get a load of this.. everytime I eat my husband pats my back and i very nicely burp.. and i'm HOW old???) I am constipated. NOT a happy place to be in... this morning steristrips came of one of my wounds and I noticed it has pus coming out of it ... ??? other ones are itching like crazy which is supposed to be a good sign.. Now i lifted up another steristrip slightly and I do NOT like the way it looks.. I guess i have to call the dr. Monday morning and till than i happen to hae bactroban ointment and i'll put gauze.. OH then the WIERDEST thing. I got my period ab. 3 weeks ago.. I'm totally irregular and took medication (provera) to bring it on.. I go to bathroom tody and BOOM i'm bleeding again. Wierd.. I never have this problem after i take provera... and also the color is different.. (sorry for the tmi.. i'm just so wierded out) any thoughts on this??? :help::help::help: Thanks,

clorox123 replied to yummieT's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Please don't beat yourself up!! You're human, normal, just like everyone!! LISTEN .. bottom line. if we didn't have an eating problem/addiction... we wouldn't be here on this forum having had surgery for our "problem". I cannot STOP thinking about food. I read your post about mozarella sticks and the first thing I thought was YUMMMMM i want!!!! WHAT a good idea! AFTER that thought.. i thought about ur post.. lol.... but sorry lady FOOD RULES FIRST!! We are all like that! I think the second i'll be able to eat more before my fill I'll be like you. But the fill takes care of that from what I hear. So hang tough. You're human. You have NOT fallen from the bad wagon. you may have slipped but you can wipe yourself off and get up again and again and again and again and again. Please remember you're human w/ emotions and THIS IS HARD!!! take care Pemy -
