Anyone one else on a weight stall. I'm exactly 2 weeks post opt and haven't lost weight in about 4 days. I also am not having a bm so maybe that's why? I am suppose to start phase 2 tomorrow.

I had my surgery may 14 and I lost about 10 lbs the first week but the last couple of days I haven't lost anything so maybe I'm at a stall as well. I am keeping the big picture in mind and all the weight I'm going to lose. Everyone will more than likely experience a stall so don't let it keep you down:)

You know what's gonna be yummy. I made last night for todays dinner. Take a can of cream of broccoli and you puree with chicken broth until you get a thin consistency. It makes a yummy thin puree Soup. Also I pureed a low sodium bean soup. Beans are a great source of Protein. I made a lot in my Magic Bullet and stored in the fridge. I can have 1/2 cup. sugar free pudding is also good. And believe it or not scrambled eggs ( very soft) runny scrambled eggs. I added a little packet of sweet & low to the egg mixture before cooking. Yummy. Hope this helps.

Thank you it does help. For some reason when I think of pureeing food it just grossed me out but I better get used to it. I will be in that phase for 3 weeks.

Anyone feeling weak? I have to stop to take breaks while getting ready cause i feel weak. Reading everyone's experiences have helped a lot. I'm still having cravings but its just when I see food commercials and having my mom here is no help because she's either cooking or bringing something back from some food place (so insensitive). I love her but I'm glad she's leaving tomorrow. Anyway' date=' I'm doing better with the fluids but I can only take 2 oz of Protein shakes right now. So I guess I'll just concentrate on fluids.HW: 297

Today is the first day I have actually had an appetite. The last 5 days I have been doing my best to get fluids in and not really caring but today is different. I feel the need for something other than liquids. Im not sure if I bored or truly hungry. Anyone else experiencing this. I typically am not one to have head hunger. Also how is everyone else doing with pain? I only have pain at night when trying to get settled to go to sleep.

You really should get 64 oz in. . Its too keep you hydrated. If you can't get all your Protein in that's understandable but you should really try to get your other fluids. My doc told me once I start paying has I can increase to 2oz every 15 min which had really helped with getting it all in.

I totally screwed that last one up. .correcetion... When I start passing gas I can increase to 2 oz..lol

It's really hard to get your liquids in when you are only taking 1 ounce every 15 minutes the most I get is 45 to 48 I hope that's goodSent from my iPad using RNYTalk

I get to go home this morning. I will be able to rest a lot better. My surgeon says I will have to be sipping all day to get the adequate hydration in order to not dehydrated. It's tough for me to get the liquids down. Which is why I was here 3 night's. I guess my best friend will be my cup for a while. He says it will get easier. Is it tough for everyone else to get liquids in?Surgery date: May 14' date=' 2013[/quote']
I'm having a really hard time getting anything but gatorade and Water down. Protein is not going good at all. I'm kinda stressing myself out about it.

I'm finally home from the hospital. My doc sent me home with pain med and nausea meds. Im actually feeling really good. I am getting 64 oz in but not 60g of Protein yet. My doc made it a point not to chew gum just in case you accidentally swallow it. He recommended listerine strips. Everyone seems to be doing really good.

Oh' date=' that stuff was awful! They were giving that to me after they took the morphine pump away. What are they telling you when you tell them you are hurting? They started giving me Toradol with my pain meds because my back hurt so bad after surgery.

Is anyone else having a problem getting pain med when you need them. I've been in so much pain and they are making me wait 4 hours

It had been fairly easy to get my fluids in but I could not imagine doing that and Protein. I have been in quite a bit of pain. They say walking helps but it makes it worse for me. They are only allowing me pain meds every 4 hours I need it sooner most of the time. Good luck to everyone and you all are in my prayers. PS the spirometer makes me couch up stuff and brings on a lot of pain so beware

I had surgery this morning. I'm doing well. Sipping a lot and walking every couple of hours. Definitely have pain but laying on the heading pad helps. They don't want me to drink anything besides g2 gatorade and Water. I'm not hungry at all. I have to pee every few minutes it seems. Good luck to all!

Has anyone cheated on their liquid diet?I did today for dinner. Still stuck with Protein but had chicken grilled and Green Beans. This will definitely be the last time I cheat. I was just so tired of eating the same thing over and over. I also had some caffeine.
