I've also been taking Protonix since surgery and that is the only new thing I have introduced.

Hi I'm 4 weeks out , down 35 lbs , off blood pressure meds and have noticed a rash on my face. It's mostly on my cheeks , has anyone else had this ??

3 weeks and 1 day post op down 33 lbs. anyone else having issues with burping after you eat or drink ? Dr said its normal but it's annoying now so I'm hoping it gets better.

I've been MIA. Surgery was Monday morning all went very well , but that first 24 hrs after was a bitch !!!! I had to remind myself why I did this and had the wth did I do to myself moments. So far , so good , walking and sipping , sipping and walking. Good luck to everyone who has upcoming surgeries and for those of us that are lucky to be post - op it's the start of our new journeys !!!

day 5 of all liquids, down 10lbs so far ... it's getting a little easier to stick with it. first 3 days were hard and i just wanted a big fat juicy cheeseburger !!!!! 11 days left

My pre op 7 shakes per day. The pre op liquid diet is to help shrink the liver to get it out of the way so it's safer for laparoscopic surgery.

Tiggy, dr long took out my band in 2010 after complications I wasn't ready for a revision but now it's time for the bypass , I regret not having it then but I wasn't ready. I'm ready now and will definitely be at the support group meetings. I'm going to need all the help I can get. : ) -
Just had my last normal meal and some double stuff Oreo's. can't believe surgery is 2 weeks from tomorrow the nerves really kicked in during my final pre op this past Tuesday. It's happening and I'm ready.

I i live in montgomery county , going to Sibley Hospital with Dr Long for surgery on 5 - 6 -2013 -
starting my 2 week liquids only on mon 4/22, getting excited and nervous at the same time. i'm supposed to go to disney in sept if i can get the time off and i work for a large police dept in the dc metro area and our department can do fly alongs with Maryland State Police. I have always wanted to go up in the helicopter but i've been too heavy so it's on my list for this fall !!!!!

Find out tomorrow when I start the pre op liquids only. I'm thinking 2 weeks before , it's getting close and I'm excited and a little nervous at the same time.
