70 year old, you are never too old
simplypearl replied to Bev Volinsky's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Not to insult you, but have you tried reducing your portions and then eating more frequently. That is what I have had to do. And my Protein shake is Like a 4-5 hour affair to drink. 16 oz Water with one scoop of protein powder. I even had to use the inspire protein drinks from GNC for two weeks causemaking the shakes like the container says was upsetting my pouch and then i started to bloat a lot. Gas ex helps with that. And currently my portion size is 1 oz for mushies at meal time. -

My username name is pearliture on MFP. Anyone else feel free to friend me. I had my surgery on February 20, 2013. Currently, trying to work through mushy stage of eating. Have had a lot of frustrating moments with the different food stages. My surgeon says my pouch is super picky but if in 2 weeks I am still struggling he is going to do tests to see if I possibly have a stricture. He is hesitating with doing unnecessary tests because I just feel sick and pressure with anything other than liquid and I don't throw up. So we'll see. I currently only consume 1 oz at each meal. -
I am the same with the yogurt i can slowly eats a 4 oz cup yogurt with no issues. Thought it was strange but I guess it is probably normal. Thanks for sharing

Saint Mary Medical Center is where I had my RNY done. February 20, 2013. Dr. Eric Edwards was my surgeon. Very happy with my whole experience

I hear he is very good I take care of a lot of his patients pre op and post op bloodwork. And one of my friends went to him. She had only positive to say about him

I was also anemic pre op. I am now 6 weeks post op. Because I am not eating solids my surgeon will not allow me to take my iron as of right now

I am 6 weeks out and can only handle 1 oz. My surgeon would like me at about 3 oz. But sometimes one kills me
