Yes I am very open person and I ask and ask and ask, but he just refuses to answer. No other changes at all. All he says when I ask is most important thing is I feel better. But I asked again last night and I got some sort of an answer and he did admit that he does not like me to be skinny. so my hunch was right, need to talk more about though. I want to go to therapy (not just because of this) but he refuses, but agreed to go after newyears if things haven't gotten better by that time.

Anyone here who had this problem, did you get through it or did you end up seperating. I never thought hubby was sexually aroused by the fatness, since I am the onyl fat woman he has ever been with. All his ex girlfriends were skinny, like really skinny even. I've had a few weird moments with him during sex but nothing obvious. But now that I am less then 10lbs from goal he is getting less and less interested it seems. If you got through it, did you get counseling or something. How did you work through it?

My mother does not say anything and supports me, but I do sence that she is worried. I am sure that it is just that with your mother, just expresses it in a different way than mine does.

Before & After
CherryBlossom79 replied to npruitt86's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Looking osom, congratulations -
Luckely my family and friends are super supportive. They are very happy for me to have decided to get the surgery. I am so blessed and happy to have all this support. It just those darn ppl that have no say and do not really know me, ppl that think that just because I am fat I must be a food addict and a out of control overeater. My family knows better.

My doc wanted to check my thyroid, turns out it is lazy. Might explain the 44lbs weight gain in the last 18months, or at least how more easely they came than before. So I am starting on some thyroid meds. But what I am worried about is does it affect the surgery or more so the weightloss after surgery? It would suck so bad if it will cause me to lose less after taking this step and all the sacrifice. -

Wow what a difference, you look great. I to wanna fit in the rides, haven't gone on one in 16 years :-( Last time I went I barely fit, and because I barely fit it was not properly holding me. So I got hurt a bit and was left with two of the blackest bruises I ever gotten in my life. I can't wait to be able to have a night out at the tivoli (carnival). -

Well at this moment I am getting grilled about why I am getting the surgery. I am holding my own tho! It is on an Icelandic chatroom were ppl know each other alot even outside the net. Some are asking how can I go thru with this when it is so scary. Telling me I should try first overeaters anonymous, greysheeters and lchf diet. Even one who had the band and is failing a bit at it is criticising my decicion, what is that??? I am mostly annoyed at that girl, just because she did not do the work and is therefore failing does not mean I will not. I have done ten times the research and everything then she ever has before I took my very well informed decicion.

Thank you sweetheart :-)

There are no groups like that here. Here we go to a rehabilitation program for 5 weeks prior to surgery where we are educated on nutrion, health,, execise and everything related to the surger before, during and after. So there is nothing for me to do untill the call for that comes, all I can do for now is research online and focus on my health. Since rny is the only type available here I know that is the one I will have.

It is so difficult to wait for the call to come in for the initial interwiew. The wait could be months or even a year, and I only got my referal several days ago. I am so ready now to start the process.

For pre-ops who have heard RNY horror stories...

Thank you for a well needed post. I am pre op and it took me over 10 years to take this step mainly because of those horror stories. But at this time I feel like even though I will have complications, that cant be more or worse then the obesity problems I have now or will get later in life if I stay like this.
