So glad your prayers have been answered! Now you can concentrate on your son and his healing as well as your own. Take the time and be well. Congratulations!!!

That's great! I love Skype and face time. My sister is in Japan with my nieces and her husband, so we live on Skype. Enjoy the time at the beach, get a new swim suit too!

Well, hang in there, you are tough. Take care of yourself first, so you will be ready when your child comes back and while hubby is on the mend.
  4. Silly, I know, but how about putting on a regular towel instead of a bath sheet when you get out of the shower! Sorry if TMI!

    What ya eating tonight?

Having a lemon pepper tilapia filet, I baked it for 10 minutes. Delicious!!

    What ya eating tonight?

I think most everyone is on the same page with protein first, then veggies and fruit. As for bread, I can have whole grain pasta, bread or crackers, just have to look for low sugar, 3 or more grams of fiber and low fat. I have been reading a lot of labels for nutrition content and to vary the diet. After eating protein and little veggies, there's not much room for anything else!!

    What ya eating tonight?

Does anyone's doctor say they need to stay away from white potatoes? Mashed potatoes are one of my favorites to make or order for dinner when out. They are smooth and go down easy. I know they have starch and sugar, but I can only eat a little bit anyways.

    What ya eating tonight?

Chipotle salad with brown rice, chicken, black beans and pico. You know I could only eat about 1/4 of it, so two more meals before the lettuce wilts!

I use breath savers sugar free mints. They taste ok, nothing tastes the same as it did before to me.

You guys look great! And you will be an inspiration to your daughter, I know you are proud of her. With her seeing how you guys take care of yourselves, she will live a fuller life. They may not say it, but they worry about us too. My daughter was instrumental in supporting me to have the surgery. I think about being here and being healthy so I can be a part of her future, and possibly have some grandchildren. I don't want her to live her life stressed out about my health and who will take care of me if I was unable to get around because of being overweight.

I understand what you mean. I was fine when I was home, had no problems getting the walks in. Once I started back to my regular routine, it is tough to get the exercise in. I work a lot but now it's summer and I can probably manage a better workout schedule. Keep up the good work with your eating, my doctor said its the most important thing, Protein and water!

Tuna salad and chicken salad have become a major staple at my house, as well as the Morningstar farms burgers!

That's strange, are you guys craving any foods? I don't crave or really want anything!

I know right? I try my favorite restaurant foods at home first and wait for 30 minutes. If its okay at home, then I will try it next time I go out. I know it sounds bad, but Wendy's chili has saved my protein numbers a couple of days!

Hello everyone, I'm glad that the group is doing well, some more than others, but glad we are sharing with each other. Does anyone have problems with nausea? My date was 4/13 and the last two weeks have been really bad. I can eat fine, but between meals and drinking water, I feel horrible.....
