What ya eating tonight?
Nel replied to OleHippieGal's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
When I got home, I had a bit of morningstar black bean burger with american cheese, sugar free ketchup and mustard and 1/4 a slice of toasted whole what bread. Then before bed, my new favorite protein drink. Unjury chocolate splendor with sugar free raspberry syrup and a shot of the sugar free caramel. It's delightful. The raspberry is by far my favorite for flavoring yogurt and protein drinks. -
I'm so very terrified of throwing up! And little things like "are the seeds in the bread okay?" just throw me for a loop. I have a diet plan. I have a food list...but it doesn't really cover stuff like that!
-
Thank you so much. You both made me feel so much better. I did eat the burger and the piece of bread. I spit out seeds and corn that bothered me and I feel fine! THANK YOU
-
Thank you. I'm just worried I got the wrong bread. I'm worried the morningstar patties aren't okay. sigh. I'm so scared I'll mess this up!

It only happened after I started the elliptical.

I had a 2 week stall. I had to start working out more to lose. I'm still only losing about 2-3 pounds a week.

When was your surgery
-
Me too ssmith92@atu.edu thank you
-
I love my strawberry pineapple ones
-
I was hoping to get this. Sigh, no such luck. Hot as ever.
-
The first week, I ate a few crackers one night cuz I was super nauseous. ;(
-
I was told if my doctor found food in my tummy or intestines the day of surgery, he would sew me up and send me on my way. The lady that works for the hospital told me he's done it. You really need to stick to it the last week and no. I didn't cheat at all. I lost 22 pounds in the two weeks before surgery. Of course, I pigged out the two weeks BEFORE that...so I felt fine about it.

Not even yogurt? Fage with raspberry sugar free syrup is my new favorite....

Tough Day at large food event
Nel replied to Cherry's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You did beautifully. I understand. I have a work potluck. Yay. For two days in a ROW there will be an office FULL of food and 13 chicks stuffing their faces like they've never eaten before in their lives. We had 2 people graduate and 2 student workers are leaving. So yay. ugh. I'm leaving for lunch, not going to the break room at all...I'm going to drink my water, eat my babybell and then my yogurt, I'll shop during lunch. I'm just going to ignore it. IT AND THE 13 CHIPMUNKS WITH CAKE IN THEIR CHEEKS. -
I worried like crazy about complications and luckily I haven't had any yet. My insurance covered 4k MAX. Per year I think. I'm not sure about that though so I ended up paying 12k out of pocket. I've never taken student loans before but that's what I did. I dunno, I just couldn't take being fat anymore. If complications arise....I'll deal with it. The numbers are in our side. We're more likely to not have any than to have some.

Can you help me with my water?
Nel replied to kristinelight's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
I had issues getting enough in. I drink up until I eat. I don't do the 30 before....it has a hole in the bottom....the water drains right out...I'm not sure why they say this rule..but I make sure it's been at least 5-10 minutes I also don't worry about not drinking after protein drinks. It's also a drink...so that helps. I can now drink normally and mine was 4.1. Just keep on keeping on. Eat Popsicle if you can . -
I just had problems getting enough in at first. I can drink regularally now. I'm not sure if that's good or bad. I don't gulp my drink, but I can drink normally and take several good swallows. Maybe it will just take a bit for your stomach to get used to it.
-
I don't, but I have heard of some that do. Have you tried ice cold water if the ice chips work? And have you tried adding any flavoring *not acidic like lemon* to your water? And if cold doesn't work, maybe try warm?
-
Good lord, this place makes me feel like a loser and not in a good way. Have you lost that much JUST since surgery? I've lost 24 pounds. Since surgery itself. MORE than I would have lost without surgery and I try not to judge my loss by others...but damn. What date was your surgery?
-
and that vid turned out HUGE. I just meant to post the LINK to the vid, not that huge vid itself. Sorry about messing up your thread. :X

lol, it's just fast paced. I like stuff with a steady beat I can kind of tune out all BUT the beat. I zone out when I get on the elliptical. Makes it go by quicker
-
Welcome to the group and congratulations on the loss.

well my surgery was april 1. today is 5/5...and supposedly today, on my nuts plan, is the day I go to ground meat and 100% wheat bread. I'm a bit scared....to say the least. I've had it pretty good. The only thing that has bothered me is an egg. I don't know if I'm ready for all that. I haven't thrown up at all yet *the egg started the foamies and a bit of spit up but that's fine* and I still have that common fear of vomiting and ripping out my stomach.

O_0......something else for me to obsess over. It's a good question, for sure.

I prefer dubstep and techno to workout...but I do "fat burn" on the elliptical...so it's fast paced. This is my favorite Then again...I drive a charger on 20s with blacked out windows...and a complete system with amp and subwoofers. So dubstep is a huge part of my day.
