Thank you! I wish I could take credit though. Lol but, when you can't eat anything the weight tends to fall off. However, I stalled out for 2 weeks from not eating too. Yes! I had a stricture about 3 weeks out. Got so bad with not keeping liquids down even. Was soo extremely dehydrated they couldn't even draw blood for labs. Stuck me 9 times to find a vein for an IV they had to numb my arms after stick number 3. Lol had an emergency EGD, felt great after. Except they tore my throat up during it. But, 3 days later I couldn't keep anything down at all again. Had another one done. I've been able to keep things down now. It just hurts to swallow liquids. Feels like a rock. But, she said the opening was still small so she scheduled me for a 3rd EGD July 11th. I'm 8 weeks out total now. Surgery Date: May 2, 2013 - Amount Lost: 55lbs

I'm a couple days away from 7 weeks out and I have lost 50lbs. I started 308 down to 258. I have had 2 stricture dilations so far though. So, I really haven't eaten much in the 6ish weeks. Been on liquids pretty much the whole time. Still not a day that I regret my decision though! Surgery Date: May 2, 2013 - Amount Lost: 50lbs

So, I really haven't been on much since my surgery. I've been the lucky one to have a bunch of complications. I did great the first couple of weeks. But, now I am just ready to feel normal again. I had my first stricture dilation on the 29th as I ended up in the ER because I was extremely dehydrated from not keeping fluids or anything for that matter down. I have to have another because I'm not keeping things down again. Surgery Date: May 2, 2013 - Amount Lost: 47lbs

Ugh. Idk what is going on with me the last couple of days. I've ended up "throwing up" Idk it's like I have foamy spit coming up that I gave to get out. Guess it could be worse. Just glad throwing up isn't the same acidy bile as before. Surgery Date: May 2, 2013 - Amount Lost: 32lbs

Mine was done with the Da Vinci robot. Idk if that makes a difference on the healing process. But, I just washed with soap and Water everyday and they healed way faster than I expected. Lol Surgery Date: May 2, 2013 - Amount Lost: 32lbs

I just want to share this quote with all of you because I know it hits close to home with all of us knowing this isn't the easy way out! It came from the mayor or some politician that had lap band surgery... “I said, ‘Well, do you really think I need this?’ And he said to me, ‘If you came in here with cancer and I told you that I had a 40-minute surgery that'd give you a 90 percent chance of cure, would you sign up?’ And it just really crystallized it for me. I made the mistake of eating a little mini baby bel cheese then took a swig of Powerade Zero out of habit and then went to work out and I spent more time on the toilet than I did on the treadmill... No fun. Surgery Date: May 2, 2013 - Amount Lost: 30lbs

I'm two and a half weeks out and I feel great. No pain. I've been released to exercise and lift already. No incision pain. Only issues are when I eat it hurts... I felt like myself about 9 days post op so you should feel Ok going back to work. You may just be more tired when you get home. My mom stayed with me for 2 days after surgery to take my dogs out for me because I live on the 2nd floor. But, other than that I really didn't need her with me. She was actually more of a hassle to have here because I felt like I shouldn't nap. You'll be surprised how much it actually doesn't hurt. Feels like I worked out super hard and had sore abs. As for anxiety meds, my Dr sent me hone with them because they actually help with stomach spasms and nausea. (Ativan is what she sent home with me.) Surgery Date: May 2, 2013 - Amount Lost: 30lbs

Oh, that stuff was awful! They were giving that to me after they took the morphine pump away. What are they telling you when you tell them you are hurting? They started giving me Toradol with my pain meds because my back hurt so bad after surgery. Surgery Date: May 2, 2013 - Amount Lost: 26lbs

The first thing I thought about when I was coherent enough was how happy I was that I had done this and that I can't believe that it was over and no one could tell me that I couldn't have the surgery anymore!
