Good luck tomorrow! I know you will be just fine. Piece of cake! A thousand pieces of cake magically being removed from your body! You can do this and you will be great!

I am a total needle phobe..and I ask very much a low pain threshold person..And I will tell you the hardest part of the needles was the iv.. The pain was not too bad. I'm home since Friday and didn't fill my pain prescription. I almost never used the pain pump at the hospital...I used it because I had a headache. It hurts like menstrual cramps. Not horrible

Torn rags soup..like my grandma used to make for the babies..was a nice lunch. Bring chicken broth to a boil...scramble an egg in a cup...pour into the boiling chicken broth whip up with a fork to keep the egg really soft while on mush/liquids... got the protein if an egg and some from the broth. Nice warm and filling.

I did okay with a low sodium V8. 1180 Mg of potassium and some veggies.

Honestly..everything tastes strange. I bought Biotin chewable that I loved before the surgery...but it tasted entirely too sweet and sour at the same time after the surgery. It almost gagged me. I'm still okay with the chocolate ones... But the fruity ones are too much.

Yes the grape was hard tasting. I liked the apple melon. They are a bit expensive, but not as heavy as a shake when you have to get in your protein. Anyone know of anything comparable?

Day 1 at home went okay... So much more comfortable in my bed! I slept like I was in a coma... I drank 1 Isopure and 1 -8 Oz protein shake made with skim milk to met over 80 protein. For some reason, I craved skim milk to drink and was able to drink another 8 ozs.. Sipped water all day. So far so good, and lost 10 lbs since my hospital stay. I'm feeling do much better

You can have your nurse disconnect the IV to put your shirt on... Or just go with the hospital gown and wear pajama pants. Having an easy pair of slippers was nice too...you will be doing a bit of walking around. I was very sleepy must of the time, so enjoy the rest and be as comfy as possible

Just got home! Had my surgery on April 3 (wed)...not too bad at all! I was a little sore and didn't find the need much for the pain pump. It was very stuffy in the hospital but i'm clearing up now that i'm home. I'm working on drinking my first Isopure for the first 40 grams of protein! I feel so much better here at home! Hope everyone else is doing well!
