Had a bad night last night! I just broke down as the rest of the family was eating something different that smelled delicious! I went to get my dinner and started crying. My dad who has had the surgery asked me what was wrong... I said "I am just tired of eating the same things everyday. It's just so boring!" He has also had the surgery done and reassured me that the fist 3 weeks are the hardest and once I start adding more foods I won't even notice. LOL!! I had the same problem. I would sit there with the phone in my had reading updates and stuff and would be falling back asleep before I would be done with the first few words! Glad to hear you are doing well! Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk

Yeah I am on soft foods which is stage 3. They started feeding me in the hospital this morning! Started with scrambled eggs and yogurt. Then lunch was egg salad and mashed potatoes and a little gravy to make sure they were moist. And at home I got some butter bean and couscous. No more then a medicine cup of each. But I didn't finish most of it. I guess each doc has their success in different ways. So they have to do what they know works for there patience. Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk

Beer would not be a good idea for your liver! It would set back all the work that you have done so far. And probably make things all bubbly. Hang in there only a few more days and it will all be worth it! Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk

Home from the hospital! I feel so much better just being here in a comfy chair! Still super sore and swollen but that is to be expected. Feeling a lot better with the walking!! Especially when the took out the drain tube... That made me feel like a brand new person once gone. Ended up with 145 laps around my bariatric center floor, which come to fine out was 5.36 miles!!! I couldn't believe it. I was just doing it cause it was more comfortable for me. And I couldn't sit in the room anymore! Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk

Finally alert enough to update you all. Surgery yesterday went really well. Little pain but not too bad. Deep breath and everything straighten out a lot! Get ready for the GI study. Fingers crossed that all is well with that! Still a little drowsy! Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk
