  1. Hello fellow marchers! I am too, faced with hair loss now. It has been falling out in chunks specially in the front. I am also getting worried about slipping back into old habits. Eating junk, drinking, not getting in protein or vitamins. Drinking during meals. I keep trying to remind myself why I did this and trying to curve my habits. But after a month long stall, I find myself thinking "if I am not gonna lose anything I might as well eat junk". If I eat healthy I don't lose, if I eat junk I don't lose... I am going to a local support group tonight and remake my commitment to my new healthy life style. I hope you are all doing better than me! HW 283. SW265. SD 3/22/13! CW 209
  2. I am almost four months out and I keep getting nauseous every time I drink Water. It feels as if it gave me heartburn and I want to throw up. Does anyone else have this? How do you make it go away? It's specially bad after I go to the gym. HW 283. SW265. SD 3/22/13! CW 209

    What I received from my Pen Pal!

    From my awesome pen pal this month, who happens to be the coordinator of this great program, tasha I.e. soontobehealthymom, I got an awesome box with delicious home made Protein balls, lots of Protein Bars and drinks as well as a heartfelt note.     Birth Control Problems!

    I am having the hardest time finding a good birth control. My ob said no on the implanon and gave me their literature where it clearly says that they did not study the efficiency of implanon in overweight women. So it could not work. My surgeon said no depo bc the hormones make it harder to keep weight off let alone lose. I have tried three different pills non of which have stopped my spotting. I have it every damn day. Ob said no to IUD bc I haven't had kids and the slip rate is too high to risk infertility now. Also it's not guaranteed it will help stop the spotting. The nuva ring made me smell bad. It was very embarrassing. The patch was a no bc there is a weight limit. At this point I just want something that will stop this spotting! HW 283. SW265. SD 3/22/13! CW 217
  8. Yesterday while grocery shopping I saw an old friend from high school. Before I would usually duck and hide so they wouldn't see how much weight I had gained after high school. Yesterday I actually felt proud of myself and decided to say hi. It was so nice. We caught up for a few then I bumped into someone else!! It felt good not to be ashamed.

  10. I was stalling left and right till I cut out ALL carbs. Now all I eat is meat eggs and cheese and soy Protein. Stall gone. Have lost almost 15 lbs in two weeks! HW 283. SW265. SD 3/22/13! CW 217

    What ya eating tonight?

    I bought something similar to PB2. It's called Just great stuff organic powdered peanut butter. I got it at the natural foods store. 45 cals. 4g of protein. 5g carbs and 1g sugar. I tried it plain and its pretty good. Added some sugar free jelly and it tasted like a pb and j. I don't know what else to do with it HW 283. SW265. SD 3/22/13! CW 229

    Not losing :(

    My surgeon is worried I'm not losing fast enough. I started at 265 lost 25 the first month and only 10 the second month. I was Plateauing left and right. Very frustrating. So he told me on Wednesday I need to walk 5 miles a day, integrate weight bearing exercise 3x a week and cut out all carbs. I have to be honest I have been having trouble getting 5 miles in every day due to hip pain. And I'm not getting in any strength yet. I'm joining the gym next week. he said keep my Protein intake to solids as much as possible to keep me full longer. I need to eat mostly meat and cheese. NO CARBS. just cutting out carbs broke the plateau and I've been losing almost a pound a day. I only get about 5-10g of carbs from cheese and dairy since its impossible to cut out all carbs. But I suggest everyone look at their carb intake and cut down. I thought fruit was ok but it stopped my weight loss. HW 283. SW265. SD 3/22/13! CW 229

    Tablets

    My surgeon said as long as the pill is smaller than a tick tack, you can swallow it whole. If not, it must be broken up. The issue is that, jf you take bigger pills, we don't have the stomach acid to dissolve them well so they sit in your pouch and start eating away at your stomach lining and that's how you get ulcers. Also, they may pass undigested and you are not gonna get all the benefits you need from your meds. HW 283. SW265. SD 3/22/13! CW 229
