Everyone has a different journey with WLS. You are doing fine! Try not to compare yourself to others. It's difficult. But you can do it. Just follow the plan your doctor gave you and you will be fine.

I have been on a stall for awhile as well. I think our bodies just have to adjust. I had my surgery last June as well. I have lost around 75-80 pounds. I have honestly stopped looking at the scale so much because it was discouraging me. Glad you joined us! We have a great group as you can see if you go back through and read all of our pages.

I am putting it on my calendar. My oldest son leaves for a year of studying abroad on the 18th, and this will be a great distraction. I am one year post op this month! Excited to go to the doctor on Monday. I don't feel like I have lost as much as some others, but I try really hard not to compare myself. -

I live in Wakefield near the 98 bypass. -
I attempted to email a link to my facebook page where I posted the slide show. If it doesn't work, then I will take my lazy self upstairs to the computer and send it. Some of the pictures are small, but it's my first try.
-
Thank you!!! It is so hard to believe it's been a year! You have been a huge part of my success as well! I made a slide show of pictures from the year. I hate that I can't post it here.

You know I might just have to consider it if you think I will look badass!

Haha!! I was totally asleep when they did that. It's the needle thing that makes me cringe.

A tattoo? Wow! I want one but I'm such a chicken! Don't like pain at all!RJ- you have totally helped me through the last year!so thankful that you are my new friend!

I am exactly in the same place as you. I've lost about 75 pounds since last years surgery date. I am around 190. I had hoped to lose 25 more before this date. Here are some of the things I have learned. I have heard that if you eat the exact same things at the same times of day that your body has become used to those calories. Try switching up your good a little even if you don't get in exactly 80 grams of protein. Maybe try trading out one of your protein shakes with cheese sticks or Greek yogurt. I will be interested to hear if it helps at all. If you are doing the same exercises, then switch that up to. Try a new one. Maybe your body is just totally freaked out! I have been trying that for a couple of weeks and noticed when I dropped my protein shake in the morning that I was able to get past the 4-5 pounds I had been playing with since late January. Good luck!

Right back at you, friend!! We will hit our goal weight together! I'm not even sure if I know what I want my goal weight to be. Thank you, RJ! I think we should all go on a cruise together! In our brand new bodies!
