I'm still here had surgery July 1st. I have lost 62 since surgery and I am doing great!!!

I have a few NSV's to share. I am 2 months out I lost a lot of weight before surgery. My total now is 110 pds lost. My shoe size went from a 10 to a 9. My scrubs for work were 4x and now is a size Large. I am now starting to shop in the misses dept instead of the Plus size dept. I just can't stop smiling I feel so good and am loving my life!!!!

I am 7 weeks out and I feel back to normal finally. I ended up having a 2nd surgery 2 weeks after my RNY. I just now feel like myself I have energy again. I am so Glad I had this surgery and I am so excited for my future!!!

My 2nd surgery was to remove an adhesion that had formed and was wrapped around my intestine.

I had my 2 week follow up today I have had what i thought was severe acid reflux. Well it's not its a hernia that went bad on me and its causing liquids to back up. I will have hernia surgery next Friday not what I wanted to hear!!!!

Well I ended up having emergency surgery today. I had thrown up severely all night so my surgeon had me to go the hospital this morning. He went in and found I had a large adhesion that was tightly wrapped around my colon. It was squeezing it and forcing liquids back up. I got to come home tonight and I feel so much better!!!

I had my surgery on July 1st. I gained 10 from the IV fluids I lost that plus another 17 pounds. I feel good except that I now have acid reflux. I never had it pre op. I go for my follow up Dr. Appt tomorrow so I will get that addressed. My incisions are almost healed. I struggle to meet my protein quota mostly due to the reflux. Anyway just wanted to check in.

I am one week out today and I'm just not feeling great. I have trouble getting in my protein and all my water. I am on liquids only till I have my follow up on the 18th. I am not really hurting anymore not on pain meds but have a lot of nausea. Is this normal or should I be concerned?

Hey Rick, I am doing Great!!! I am 2 weeks post op today. I did have a few days where I didn't feel well, but I am doing much better. I have lost 15 pounds as of today. I go to Dr. Roller on Thursday for my follow up appt. I hope the insurance delay gets fixed for you soon!!! Keep me posted. Shawna

I went with my boys to Cracker Barrel and I had the spicy grilled catfish. It was awesome very tender and I didn't even eat a fourth of it so Hello yummy leftovers!!!

HW: 316 SW: 262 CW: 248 I am 11 days post op and very happy with my results so far!!!

I am 10 days post op and I have felt really good today. I hope that means its getting easier I don't get to start real food until Monday. Two weeks only on liquids has been hard and I don't have a lot of energy. I am losing weight so I am super happy about that!!!

Thanks for all the prayers today!!! I am officially on the Losers Bench!! I am sitting in a chair and about to go walking with the nurse. It went well and I am glad to be on the other side now!!!

I am at the hospital and will be going into surgery soon!!! I can't wait to start my new life!!!

Well it looks like I will be starting us off for July. I have to be at the hospital at 5 am on Monday morning I will be my surgeons 1st surgery of the day. Renee it looks like u will be just after me that Day we will have to let each other know how it went!!! Shawna

I called saying goodbye to my favorite foods my "Farewell Tour" I had "duets" with donuts, pizza, and ice cream!!! Lol

One of us needs to start a thread for us for our July surgeries!!! I'm not sure how to do that but want to be able to keep up with how we are all doing!!!

I got my surgery date today I am so ready to start my new life!!!!!

I just found out today that mine is July 1st!!!!!

I feel so bad for those of you with coworkers that are being unsupportive and mean. I feel really blessed I work at a small hospital and everyone is Great about my upcoming surgery. I work as a CNA and a lady I work with is our unit secretary. She is cross training with me so that I can come back to work in 2 weeks and do a desk job. She will be doing my job. We will switch for 2-3 weeks till I am cleared for heavy lifting. She volunteered to do that on her own. Everyone else on my work team has been cheering me on as I have lost weight doing the nut appts.

I had to lose 30 pounds in 8 weeks so by my 3rd Nutrition appt I would have met my requirement for my insurance. I lost 47 pounds. I had certain friends say oh look u Can do it by yourself without surgery. Well I still have 120 pounds to lose I am doing the surgery without any hesitations. Only I can make that decision for Me.

Jennifer, I saw your post on the Arkansas thread. We both are going to Dr. Roller he is an excellent Surgeon. He did my surgeries for appendix and gall bladder. His specialty is Bariatric surgery and people come from all over the country to go to him so you are in Great hands!!! I go to my last Nutrition appt Tues. I have met my insurance weight loss requirement. I plan to have my surgery in June. I am waiting till then due to my work schedule. I used to live in Springdale now I live in Siloam Springs. The psych appt is no big deal it was several pages of questions and then about an hour with the Psychologist. They ask you questions about your goals and what you believe the surgery will do for you. They want to make sure you have realistic expectations. You will do fine!!!

I will probably be in June too!!! I am really getting excited!!!

Rick, Who is doing your surgery? I live near Fayetteville AR and Dr. Roller is doing mine. I know he also does surgery in your area. I have one more visit its on Tuesday and then they will send off to insurance.
