I guess I'm a slow loser....dang it! I was excited to lose 17 lbs@ 2 weeks but now it has been 4 weeks and I've lost 20. Anyone around that number? Make me feel better! Haha -
I might go to the next group too. Its just a little far for me to drive. I think you have to be on the website ( not mobile) to upload a picture. Its under profile or account I think.
-
I really like him....and the office staff. I may have met you at one of the meetings? You will have to upload a picture! Good luck tomorrow! Tmw is 4 weeks for me...excited to move to "soft" foods. My 1 month follow up is Friday. My procedure went really smoothly. I had my gallbladder removed as well. I had surgery at 8 am on wed snd was ready to checkout at 3pm Thursday. I didn't have any nausea or severe gas...though I was sore and tired!

I had my initial meeting with the surgeon where he gives you a weigjt loss goal. There is a 4 hr class, 2 hr nutrition class, Psych visit and one mandatory support group. How quickly you progress depends on when you meet your weight goal. I had to lose abt 20 lbs from my highest recorded weight. Jaejuicy...who us your surgeon? Mine is Dr Grinberg.

Hi Jaejuicy!

I went to an informational class 1/30. My first appointment with the bariatric department was 2/12 and many surgery was 4/10...so it went really quickly for me.

Mine is Stage 5, which is 6 weeks for me.

My surgery was at Kaiser on 4/10.

I'm in Sac too!

What foods do you miss?
califmomto4 replied to Jerrie Ann's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I would love some Thai food....I know eventually I could have somw meat...but not the amazing fried rice...or pad thai. Sushi Vegetables Margaritas...the festival we went to yesterday could have been way better! Heck...I'm still on puree for 2 days so right now everything sounds and/or smells good! -

I'm jealous. Lol. I haven't lost for over a week. I'm trying to not get on the scale until my 1 month check up this Friday. I always get my min 60g protein. What are you supposed to get? I'm going to start doing measurements...maybe that will make me feel better. Although...right now I feel sick. I'm at work and I just ate. Light & fit greek yogurt. Feeling kind of nauseous & shaky. I hope that I just ate too much and I don't get sick for the first time in the office. -

I have decided to stop weighing because I'm getting mad....but today I pulled a pair of slacks out of the "too small" pile and then zipped right up! Woo hoo! They are a 20...which means nothing cuz I have others ...prob even some 22's that are too small. (Womens clothes sizing sucks!!!) -

Egg salad - one hard boiled egg, mixed w/ a little lowfat mayo, mustard & pickle juice. First time eating an egg and seems to be sitting well. -
I'm a scale-a-holic...I weigh every day. Last week I went up 2 lbs...I know it varies but it hasnt come back off. My surgery was 3 weeks ago. I think I'm already stalled. For some reason, I thought maybe I would be one of the lucky ones that this didn't happen to...guess not! I do get at least 60g of Protein, 64oz Fluid and walk at least 40 mins a day (2 miles). I am still on pureed, avg 400-500 cal per day. I'm exhausted. I am going to try to not weigh again until my one month check up on 5/10. This is so frustrating. I was in a 2 week stall prior to surgery...and niw again? I cried a lot yestetday. Ugh.

I hate the scale

Exactly! And I can't even eat something bad or have a glass of wine to make my day better! Lol. -
Any vegetarians out there?
califmomto4 replied to shawna29's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I mostly eat fish as well, chicken occasionally. (my entire life...dont like pork or red meat) Someone asked this question in my class, the nutritionist said it would be difficult to meet your nutritional requirements as a vegetarian because your pouch cannot fit the quantity of tofu (for example) that would be required to meet your Protein requirements. -

I dont think I'm hungry...just trying to avoid shakes when possible. ( I still have to do at least on every day) -

Super scary, HELP
califmomto4 replied to SemperFiWife's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My surgeon said it could be low blood pressure due to dehydration. If you can, check your blood pressure or I think he said if there is a difference in your pulse between sitting and standing. I get spells of this. -

I was thinking "tworeffic"...but then I googled it and saw another forum using "twoterville". That could work. :-)
